So, this card has been out for awhile now, and I was interested in hearing opinions from the community. Do you think it's the best card in the game?
Thoughts on Kopesh?
I'm not sure how "best" is defined. I would probably lean towards giving Descendent of Eibon the title of "best" because every deck, no matter it's faction or strategy will be better with the Descendent in it. Khopesh requires a Chtulhu resource, so isn't necessarily the best.
However, it is a very strong card and something to be concerned about in a competitive environment.
Best as in most awesome? Yep, that's a close race between Khopesh of the Abyss and a few other cards.
Best as in strongest... not really. It's a card you need to be aware of in a comp environment, but it can be played with or against.

The Descendant of Eibon is probably still the best character in the game but since he's on the restricted list is no longer universally used. And even if he's included in a deck it's not a card that forces you to play a particular kind of deck. It's 'just' one of the strongest and durable characters which supports whatever kind of deck you're playing.

Yep, I certainly think so. I consider it the card that dominates the current meta. You either play the Khopesh or you have to design your deck to counter 'Khopesh-decks'.
I agree entirely with the sentiment, except I would not use the adjective "best". Maybe something like "powerful" or "feared", but not "best".

This is actually what I meant by 'best'. Just didn't put it into words as nicely.
If I was playing in a tournament I think you'd have to assume you would face many Kopesh based decks, and have to play something to counter it.
I'm expecting Khopesh to be the next card added to the restricted list
Yes, it's a very strong card, better than it ought to be and all decks need to keep in mind that they might be facing it.
I'm including 3 Breaking the Wards in my YS decks. Wound me I wound you... twice. Since the wounding the attached character is not part of the cost of the Khopesh but part of the effect when you trigger, I essentially could blast the attached character into non-existence with just a couple of discarded cards.
Yeah I like Breaking the Ward as an anti-Kopesh card. The only downside is you have to play it on your turn, which could mean an empty board depending on what Kopesh got attached to!
Right now I am running Deep One Assault x3 and Get It Off! x3 in my deck.
