Indianapolis Tournament Winning Deck

By SeanXor, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

We had our second Indianapolis Tournament in the afternoon on New Year's Eve. Once again, we had four people show up so it was a smaller tournament. We played a round robin with each match up being a best two out of three.

I managed to win with this deck:

Units
3 Crooked Teef Goblins
3 Spider Riders
3 Forest Goblins
3 Lobber Crew
2 Night Goblins
3 Snotling Pump Wagon
3 Swarm of Bats
3 Squig Hopper
2 Wyvern Rider

Support
3 Warpstone Excavation
3 Squig Pen
2 Totem of Gork
2 Grimgor’s Camp
3 Choppa

Tactics
2 Pillage
3 Mob Up
2 Troll Vomit
2 Waaagh!
3 Smash Der Beards

This deck beat the other three decks by winning two matches straight. As it turned out, two of us played with orcs and two played with dwarves. The other orc deck focused on bigger orcs and getting stronger when wounded. One of the dwarf decks was full of smaller units and used Reclaim the Fallen. The second Dwarf Deck focused on developments in the battlefield so that units like Serpent Slayer, Wild One, and the Helbaster Volley Gun could do massive damage.

Second place was the other orc deck, beating both dwarf decks. The Dwarf development deck beat the Reclaim the Fallen Deck to finish third.

I think we are looking to have another tournament in March. Hopefully, we can get a few more people for that one!
