The Other World card states: "The tunnel branches to the left and to the right". If you go right, then you make a Lore -2 check. Are you able to choose this option if your lore is at 1 & you have no clue tokens? In other words, are you allowed to choose an option that requires a skill check, & yet you are unable to roll even a single die?

As far as I know, yes. You will fail the check by default, basically, but there's no rule that says you have to pick an option you can succeed at if given the choice.

FYI, even if you had clue tokens to spend, there's nothing I'm aware of that says you MUST spend them. You could still pick this option and fail just the same.
