Winter 2011 Thrones Times Newsletter Now Available

By Twn2dn, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Hi everyone,

The third issue is now available here: http://www.cardgamedb.com/index.php/thrones-times.html/_/thrones-times-v1/

Apologies for the delay...I had hoped to get this released three weeks ago, so that everyone had it in hand when the holidays rolled around to read during free time, etc. Hopefully this won't be too late, and you can still enjoy it during some down time over the next few days before the new year begins.

In the 6-page issue:

• Collective results from three November tourneys--Days of Ice & Fire, Tourney of Stahleck, and Black Friday
• Strategy articles and “Dear Ktom” section
• Interview with Damon Stone, lead designer for A Game of Thrones LCG
• Guest articles from the SoCal meta and a new group of players in Afghanistan
• Deckbuilding Tips
• And more!

I realize there will be errors/misspellings in this...sorry about those as well. I figured it was better to get this out the door than wait another 2-3 days until I had sufficient time to really go through and fix the minor edits/tweaks that undoubtedly could have used changes. If you see anything major, like a misspelling of a name, misquote, or something wrong in the data, please let me know ASAP!

Thank you, and enjoy!

GREAT job. Truly an asset to the community.

~Glad Damon could take a break from composing soft jazz to pose for his picture gui%C3%B1o.gif

Whoops. Just started reading and I hate to say it, but along with a huge amount of awesome, I just noticed an error. 2C1C is done by members of the Missouri meta rather than Minnesota.

Though, I'm sure the Minnesota guys wish they could get in on it. :P

Regardless, thanks so much! I had no idea props to our show were coming in the issue!

LOL, sorry about that...not sure why I wrote Minnesota. I have posted a revised version with the correction. I also saw something strange going on with Damon's response to question #2, and corrected that.

Very cool! Thanks for putting this together.

Soft Jazz? That is definitely a bebop look if you ask me.
