But why the seemingly long silence. All we have seen since Heros Call announcement has been a POD. At this point, I would love to hear...anything! Is everybody working on a star wars rpg? Just let us know, as that would be acceptable to me personally. But my players and I are starving for some new material.
What the future brings?
I agree. FFG should give at least some information about the future of WFRP3.
Still many people are clinging to the old second edition and they're trying to resist switching to the new edotion because they think FFG will abandon the new game system going back to a more traditional rpg experience.
Supporting a little more the 3' edition could push more gamers to accept the development of WFRP.
I would love to see more supplements about anything really. I just dove into this game and used to play D&D exclusively from 2nd edition to 4e (blech) and I'm getting sick of that game quite frankly. I was drawn to WH because of it's dark and gritty setting and the cool new dice pool mechanic. Also the low magic level of the world (compared to D&D anyways). I bought the core set, then the adventurer's toolkit and now the omens of war expansion. I'm planning to buy Signs of Faith, Winds of Magic, Lure of Power, and Black Fire Pass. The only things I'm not set on buying are the adventures as I want to try running the fabled Enemy Within campaign which I managed to find in PDF.
I've even started collecting the Gamemastery cards over at Paizo and got the adventuring gear essentials deck, the plot twists deck, and chase cards deck and I can easily see these all finding a place in my game.
So here's hoping we seem something from FFG soon.
My guess for the near future would be player's guide 2 and gamemaster's guide 2 with all the new stuff from last expansions. For those that like classic hardcover books.
Maybe with new vaults too.
Then new content.
It wouldn't hurt if FFG shared their vision for WFRPG's future.

As a GM and a potentialy buyer this is what I would love to see:
A dungeon crawl set with lots of traps, nasty monsters and gloomy locations. It could be like a undead thomb scenario or a lost Karak!
A big city expansion with a focus on how to do city questing and on a specik city like Marienburg, Altdorf or Nuln.
An elf expansion Highelf vs Darkelf (maybe including woodelfs as well).
A wicked expansion. How to play bad guy ( a little like Black Crusade)
Your first two suggestions YES!
As much as I've enjoyed the adventures and single campaign that FF have released, I yearn for more structured content, as I find myself prepping WAY more for this game than any game I've previously run. It has mostly to do with the vague structure and poor organization of the information. So, yes! A highly detailed city (Marienburg, or Mordheim perhaps) and/or detailed campaign dungeon-type setting (Castle Drakenfels anyone?) are a must for the near future.

The designers have unfortunately quashed that particular possibility when they said that the vaults and guides would be the only time they would ever use that format and that all future releases would be in the boxed components and splat-book format.

Also, I suspect publishing Guides 2.0 would make buying the preceding boxes obsolete, something FFG surely has no interest in.
I hope for a bigger campaign as well. With HC out nothing stands in the way of involving players in the Storm of Chaos.
Hi,
I would also love to see a campaign geared around the events of the Storm of Chaos, maybe a series of connected adventures set at different stages of the war not just stand and fight ones (eg, delivering an important message, sabotaging supply lines of the enemy, rallying a township to ready themselves for the invasion, etc). Find myself not wanting to get my hopes up just in case GW doesnt want anyone messing with it though.
One can hope....

I think it is VERY safe to say that a series of adventures forming a campaign centered around Storm of Chaos is coming later this year. Almost every book released to date has hinted at the events of Storm of Chaos, and the new Hero's Call supplement includes Archaeon, who is the centerpiece of the chaos invasion in Storm of Chaos.
It is not a matter of 'will they do it' but a matter of 'how they will do it'
Gitzman
They should take a close look on "The Red Hand of Doom" for inspiration on how such a campaign could be designed.
A Campaign consisting of around three boxes like Gathering Storm would be my dearest wish -- apart from a city sourcebook.
I'd prefer that high elf source book.
Because if there's one thing I enjoy, it's watching Emrikol get annoyed about Swordmasters...
Or Ironbreakers, but I guess we already have our dwarf supplement ![]()

Well, i would say the same if i wanted the boxes to sell.
But it would not be the same, the scenarios would be left out.
Players guide is good referencing material. Having all your cards and rules gathered in one book is very handy.
Two things argue against a Storm of Chaos campaign product.
1) The WFRP3 timeline was deliberately moved away from the Storm of Chaos. Perhaps it was thought that WFRP2 had sufficiently mined that vein.
2) Putting Archaon in the Hero's Call box argues against a Storm of Chaos campaign boxed set rather than in favor of it because one would want to retain him as a big reveal for such a product.
Here are three possible products that are much more likely than a Storm of Chaos campaign box:
1) Do You Know the Muffin Man? - a POD set of cards with new options for Halfling characters.
2) Wind in the Willows - a campaign which compels a group of Reiklander humans and wood elves to work together to prevent damage to Athel Loren by marauding Knights of Bretonnia.
3) Pirates of the Reik A-Bein' - a seagoing campaign featuring swashbuckling action and river trade.
Just talking about a seafaring supplement on another thread. The more I think about it the more I want it.

5) Occupy Marktplatz - a campaign centered around the dealings of Burghers, Tradesmen and their Agents against the Nobles, Rogues and Charlatans scheming to steal their money ....with Commoners and Peasants being screwed over in the process as usual ...
6) 'New Altdorf' - an adventure centered around a bunch of Sigmarite zealots taking off to the border princes where they can be build a new utopia upon the principles of allowing the burning of Ulric priests and all other heretics ....and being able to marry their sisters ....

Still waiting on a daemonslayer to come out? I know I am.

Yarr! Pretty close!
It's so awesome to read this thread now that The Enemy Within has been announced ![]()
Honestly, I don't think I've been looking forward to a new RPG product with this much excitement in a long time!
I still want an elven box.
I still want an elven box.
I still want an elven box.
I still want an elven box.
I still want an elven box.
Not an elven POD.
I WANT AN ELVEN BOX!
I really will like more adventures, for me the anouncement of the new campaing is a blessing!
I hope it brings a new creature guide! With a detailed list of actions for each creature and an unified rule for extra actions (instead of the mix we have now between the creature guide and the core rule book).
Did I say… for god s#&|@! a NEW and PROPERLY done CREATURE GUIDE!
Here's what i'm hoping:
Player's guide 2
Put the dice packs back into production
Keep the license going long enough to get an ELVEN BOXED SET.
