Character abilities and restrictions - Rules question

By kaelistus, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I just have a couple of questions concerning abilities and restrictions:

1) Bowl of brown says "character cannot trigger its abilities". Do attachments count as it's abilities? So if my character is Bowl of Brown'ed I can't trigger, say, Grey Wind or Nymeria.

2) Similarly, There's a Renly Baratheon says: "Inmune to character Abilities". Does that mean attachments too? So Grey Wind cannot kill Renly? (If Renly has theoretically been reduced in strenth)

3) And slightly related. There's a card that says "If there are no cards in the Shadows ...". Does that mean your own shadows, or any shadows? Can my opponent play a card in his shadows to cancel the effects of that card?

Thanks for your help in advance!
