Invisible Attack's??? Foundations???

By VinomBlack, in UFS General Discussion

Ok I know this sounds weird but to put it simple Any Multiple Attack with Meat Eater second ability.

Lets say I play: Vulcan Punch

Resource Symbols: {Air}{Chaos}{Good}
Multiple: Multiple: 1
Punch: Punch
Card Text: E: If a multiple copy of this attack deals damage, you may discard it from your card pool.

My first E: Multiple 1, then I say in response I play meat eater R Commit:

{Air}{Chaos}{Evil}
Card Text: E Commit: This attack gets Powerful: 1 or +1 to its Poweful rating. R Commit: Before you pay a momentum cost, you count as having already paid 1 momentum towards the cost.

Does that Mean I get an invisible attack in my card pool thats there but not represented with a face down card?

What about when I play Vulcan Punch E:

E: If a multiple copy of this attack deals damage, you may discard it from your card pool.

Does that mean I discard my invisible attack from my card pool if it deals damage?

What if I Kunai my invisible attack what happens?? (I think its discarded btw).

Do the invisible cards count towards your P difficulty?? Cause there is no card in the card pool to add to P difficulty.

Now what about Starter Sakura's Effect?

Resource Symbols: {All}{Void}{Water}
Card Text: E: Gain 2 vitality. Only playable during your opponent's turn. F Commit: Once per turn, choose 1 card in your discard pile. Until the end of this turn, as long as the chosen card is in your discard pile, it may be played once as though it were in your hand.

Im talking about the F Commit:

When I play the card how does it go from my discard to my hand to the field?? Play it as though it were in your hand?? so is it in my hand or in the discard??

Cause if lets say you pick an attack with multiple 2 lets say Lunar Slash with her effect.

Multiple: Multiple: 2
Card Text: E (4+): If this attack deals damage, draw X cards. X equals the number of multiple copies of this attack in your card pool.

ok then so you play another attack other then lunar slash lets say weak slash anyway I get to my E: and I enhance with Bitter Rivals.

Resource Symbols: {All}{Evil}{Fire}
Card Text: E Reveal your hand: Your opponent reveals their hand. Either change the attack zone or your opponent discards 1 card with a keyword ability (your choice).
Block Modifier: +2

I choose Keyword and you say I have none then I say yes you do Lunar Slash, Whats happens then?? Do you still have it in your hand?? Can you still play it as though it's in your hand even though I made you discard it???

Thats all I got for now. Well post anything if you have any ideas of what happens here.

And yes James I'm a Dumbass lol. Omar if you read this please explain amap.

This topic should be moved to Rules Q & A. I'll gladly help you once your question is in the proper sub-forum.

There's already a couple of topics in there on Meat Eater and multiples. Put simply, it doesn't work.

I'd say no it doesn't work because creating a multiple copy is not the cost of one or more momentum. powerful would be though or just discarding any momentum.

According to the rules, you need to take the momentum discarded and put it face down. Since you used a card effect to count for it, there won't be a resolution to the attack because there was no card to be said attack.

Try the Q&A next time.

It's physically in the Discard pile, but for the purposes of playing the card, you pretend like it's in your hand. After you have passed the control check and paid all costs, it physically moves from the discard pile to your card pool.

And for the rest of your question... you can "play the card as though it were in your hand." It doesn't say play for the remainder of the turn like it's in your hand.

1) yes you are. not gonna lie

2) "amap" is an illustrated representation of a specific location. on the other hand, the acronym for "as soon as possible" is ASAP .

As MUCH As Possible.

Made sense to me. But maybe I'm a dumbass, too.

Posts in search results are ordered by the date that they were posted, and the set of posts included in search results is any post in any section that contains any of the words in the query. The result is that you get VERY few posts related to what you're searching for, and {counterintuitively} more keywords = even more irrelevant results. I'm sorry to say, but the search feature is useless.

To put it another way, search is just a filtered "recent posts" list. You're 10x better off sifting through every thread {ie, Q&A} in the selected subforum, unless there is a keyword that appears ONLY in that subforum.

Fair enough. I'll forward the feedback to Paul & Co.

Post this in our sticky topic or email it to me and I will ask paul this next week when we interview him .

It's okay Chris. I've got Paul's contact information, and I'll email him directly. Honestly, I'm not sure if having Paul go into the technological details behind the coding of a search tool, makes for a sintilating interview.

From what I've been able to tell, most of the time when I start going into technical details, peoples eyes tend to glaze over and I loose them.

<Unless they really care about the coding>
