Bran Combo Question

By Eisenmerc, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I know Bran has been covered more then a few times on the forums here. However I just picked up the King's landing cycle and wanted to make sure I had things right. Please let me know if I'm doing things correctly or messing something up.

#1: Kneel Bran to activate his ability.

#2 Select City Plot X

#3 Determine initiative from "City Plot X"

#4 Resolve the 'when revealed' ability of "City Plot X"

#5 Select "City Plot Y"

#6 Resolve the 'when revealed' ability of "City Plot Y". City Plot X is in the used pile and modifies the ability of "City Plot Y"

#7 Draw Phase

#8 Marshling Phase: Determine Income using "City Plot Y"

If I skrewed things up please point out where I went wrong. Thanks! :)

Remember that the standard method for choosing and revealing plots in the plot phase is:

1. All players choose and reveal plots at the same time
2. Determine initiative based on the plots everyone just revealed
3. The winner of initiative chooses "first player"
4. Deal with "when revealed" effects

Bran does nothing to change that sequence. You either use him and reveal a plot before it starts, or you wait until they are all over and use him to reveal a new plot after it is over. So initiative is always determined based on the plot chosen when all players choose plots. The way your example is set up, you used Bran to reveal City Plot X before the regular plot phase sequence, so you would choose, reveal, and resolve alone, THEN all players would choose, reveal, count initiative, determine first player, and resolve together. Then draw phase, then Marshaling.
