Caprica and Cylon fleet cards

By LinkN, in Battlestar Galactica

The Caprica location says that any fleet jump or activate cylon ships icons on the Crisis card being used are ignored. I'm wondering though, how does this work with Cylon Fleet cards that activate ships before bringing in new ones? Are the ships activated, since the icon isn't the normal icon in the corner of the card, or does it still count as an activate ships icon, so it's ignored?

The activations still happen as they are not part of the Cylon Ship Activation Step (or whatever Step it's called), which is what doesn't happen, not the activations themselves.

Yeah, that's what I figured, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks.

Note that the rules/board do not instruct you to ignore the icons. They tell you is that there is no Activate Cylon Ships phase in the turn. Icons are still valid if they are used in other phases.

Sorry - can you guys explain this a little more? I thought that the instructions on the Caprica location meant that in the Cylon turn the Jump symbol and Cylon ship symbol were ignored completely. (ie - no movement of the jump marker and no attacks / moves with Cylon ships).

They are referring to the Cylon Attack cards, which in Step 1 of setting up the Attack Fleet they have an icon for which cylon ships act, and how they act.

OK, I get it now. Thanks ~ I thought I'd missed a rule...
