Space Combat: Multiple players with the same Extended Action

By Maese Mateo, in Rogue Trader Rules Questions

Is possible for two or more players (or Crew NPCs) to do the same Extended Action multiple times on the same Strategic Turn?

For example, doing multiple Lock on Target (on the same enemy ship), Aid the Machine Spirit or Put your Backs into it (several times for the same weapon/s).

There's nothing in the rules about it, but in most cases I would only allow players to assist each other. Stacking actions like Flank Speed or Lock on simply shouldn't work, while there's no particular reason two players couldn't use the Focused Augury action on separate ships.

That's what I thought. Thank you very much! =D

I'm not 100% certain I'd be happy with multiple extended actions related to the same system. Focused scans, active scans and lock on target all call for Scrutiny + Detection tests. I'm well aware of the length of a turn in space combat. Any thoughts on this?

i wouldn't allow it. If the augurs are being used on one ship, they are tied up and can't be used on another.
