Does the "Kiss" of a Genestealer leave any marks?

By Gregorius21778, in Dark Heresy

Greetings, fellow forum users,

I am actually running a mission including Symbionts for my players.

My question: Does the "Kiss" of a Symbiont leave any obvious marks that will be visibel for...lets say, the remainder of a day or two?

I know that I will houserule that it will anyway (at least for these Genestealer...a hurray for unstable geno-types!) but I actually wonder if any marks where mentioned in some other sources like earlier (or more recent) 40K Publications or any novells.

Thanks !

on one hand as for as i know it don't leave a mark. however because it s useful to give the players something to look upon.

on the other in a caias novel the commisar saw two guard with a amnesia just after a meeting with genestealer so you can say that people who received a kiss act contrary to their know behavior for a day and two and activily looking for a mate ( witch is the prupose of the kiss anyway).

so think of it a labourer know to be hard line celibacy partisan who suffer amnesia and is know looking for a mate and have children? strange isn't it

The old genestealer cult was actually my first 40K army! Remembering the original fluf I read in White Dwarf 118, the genestealer implants it's genetic material in a "parody of a human kiss". The genestealer would actually put it's tongue down the victim's throat, implanting internally. I'd rule that a detailed medical examination involving internal scans might find evidence of this attack until it fully heals. It never said how damaging the ovipositor attack is, so there might be no more damage than a needle prick would leave behind. Either way, the victim is not harmed & does not have any outwardly visible indication of the attack.

So "Deep Throating", huh? demonio.gif While it might not leave a mark... in combination with the amnesia-thing, the victim could have a "throat ache"...

Thank you very much, guys! This was very helpful to me!

Yeah, brings a whole new meaning to the tern "xenos lover"!

My pleasure! happy.gif
