Hey, as we all know, Christmas is older than Bethlehem and Babylon, older than Memphis and mankind. So who's to say the lord of R'lyeh didn't get involved at some point? At any rate, happy holidays to all, no matter where you dwell or what unknowable entities you venerate. May the Old Ones delay their consumption of humanity for another year (or at least until after the vacation).
Personally, I cannot wait for Christmas. As usual, I don't have much planned, but what there is is enough. I'd be interested to hear how everyone's seasonal revels go (in particular, I rather suspect Avi spends precious little time in our world even outside the holidays, so there's no telling what he'll be up to). You may want to stay away from Gladys Pickman's house, however. I hear her parties can get a little wild.

Great pic Avi - never ceased to be amazed at the creativity and sheer imagination of the Lovecraft clan here and across the dimensions. Bravo all of ye and best of everything for the times ahead.! As a special treat, what one wish for Arkham Horror would be waiting in the bloody pool beneath your tree this year? For myself, Id be stoked with a bug free full on graphically mind blowing computer version I can play alone or hooked up with friends. The fulfillment of my cyborg destiny with a full brain/CPU transplant would then ensue.
Julia's staying home with her beloved and the family. Having some good food together, maybe a movie, and then meeting with friends in the evening for a couple of games. One of my friends certainly would love to play Talisman, and I wouldn't, so probably we'll finish playing something quick and hilarious a la Chaos Marauders. Probably (and sadly) there won't be enough time for Arkham or Mansions

Well, after several days of mild revelry, I have returned, marginally saner (strange, I know). I received a number of gifts, although sadly no AH expansions (that might have something to do with the fact that I already own them all). Aside from this Tuesday where I spent the daylight hours playing six games back to back (not Arkham, a variety of others), nothing worth reporting occurred...with one exception. Just before Christmas, as my family and I were decorating gingerbread man, I sat in consternation, unsure of how to bedeck mine. Then suddenly, a fell purpose entered my mind and a strange fever consumed me. Almost entirely unaware of my surroundings, I set to my fell labor, my hands fashioning a grotesque and alien image. Upon completion, I could barely stand to look upon the horrid thing, but I convinced my father to take one picture. I...regret that decision. And now, I share it with you. Perhaps that will go some small way towards alleviating the nightmares that have since plagued me.
Granted, it's not really in the same caliber as Mr. Wilcox's original piece or the famed idol of the stars. This one does have the distinction of being edible, though (which made for a strange reversal of fortunes).
