You specifically. Also, you need to be in IL next Tuesday.

I promised my wife that I wouldn't play Thrones next Tuesday. If I tell her that not only will I play after all, but also I'm going to IL to do it, that would be hazardous to my health. In fact, it would be a bit like telling Stalin in 1937 that Trotzki was a fine fellow. So I think I'll pass.

Wait...are you making chicken sounds now?

Me?! Oh I wouldn't be so crude as to make chicken noises at you! No, I actually bought this chicken here. He is making chicken noises at you.....CHICKEN!

The banned and restricted list outside of FFG run events is not an absolute requirement. The TO always has the discretion about what is and is not legal for a tournament as well as any particular game rulings. Obviously most TO's are going to try to conform to FFG's rules and FAQ as closely as possible, but here is an excellent reason why they have that autonomy, so they can go by clarifications and rulings that have not yet made it into the FAQ.

I did ask Damon about when the next FAQ was coming out in regards to this and he sent me this, " From the FAQ - In the case where an LCG card is reprinted with updated errata text in a later printing, the most recent printing is the legal version of the card. All older LCG printings are assumed to be updated with the errata text. When in doubt over two versions of a card, the most recent printing can be identified by the copyright dates on the cards in question. FFG will see that all LCG reprints with updated errata text are also recorded in the FAQ."

So the FAQ says it is already legal.

How does that paragraph state that it's legal? It just deals with MRP on a card, and since the card titled "Blood of the First Men" is still banned, I don't see how that changes it.

I believe the Banned list also includes a set for the card. So the FAQ lists the old version of the card as banned, not the new version.

But it's not in a new set, is it? It's still a reprint of the same pack it originally came out of? I guess it's possible they changed the collector's info, I haven't looked...

Oh touche there. Hmmmm yeah I got nothing. Either way it doesn't really matter. Just do whatever you want to do at your tourney. FFG is going to allow it at theirs.

I don't know... compared to the craziness I've been seeing. I actually think Jaquen H'Gar would not have much of an impact if unbanned. Especially if he was also placed on the restricted list, and with the old errata (IIRC - the one where he bounced if he had power on him).

Another option is reword the text so it's "At the beginning of the phase choose one of the following keywords: ...", keep the +1 STR, so now you have to build him up. But I think he works better as a bomb that explodes for a turn and if you don't time him right you've cost yourself.

That is if FFG ever reprints ACOA. They could also just do ACoA and AToR as a expansion like the house expansions and remove the cards banned or not useful due to 5KE mechanics.

I like that choose one of the following keywords mod on Jaqen.

If FFG were to do a deluxe expansion instead of a reprint, then they'd have to do a two box series per cycle...unless they get rid of half of the cards in the cycle.
