I received my Bereluther this week and was taking a look at the transfers, there's vehicle transfers for Manfred, Sigrid, Angela and Eva. But who is Eva?
Who's Eva
No idea who she is. In the allied decals card there are also a few mysterious names, like Lola, Amanda and Ursula.
I would guess they are the names of the next hero units or just random but Eva sounds like it could be a future hero. The allies decal sound like there just random names for the tanks.
I also think that the animals in the allied decals might be hints at units that were considered. There's a Rhino decal, and we got the Rhino hero. Could they also be thinking of a Hippo and a Panda, probably for walkers? Sounds quite likely to me.
Panda has GOT to be a Chinese Walker.

Yeah, well... the panda sticker is in the allied card, not the Sino-Soviet or Japanese cards. If the cards are any indication, though, the SSU forces rely heavily on flamethrower units. There's a fire-breathing turtle and several fire warning signs.
well the KV-47 has a dual flamer set for its kit so it wouldn't suprize me that SSU would have lots of flame weapons but if you look at the operation cerberus fluff I think it hints at a few future allied heroes.
Not more ruddy flamethrowers, what is it with FFG and there infatuation with them?
Eva used to hang out with Adam. Then there was something about a snake and an apple but I stopped reading at that point as it was my bus stop and never got round to reading the rest of the novel.
Eva? Katyusha ? I'm counting on some rocket arty:D

A KV-47 with the dual FT weapon set is nicknamed, "Flaming Turtle". =)
Although if anything should be called the Flaming Turtle, it should have been the Fireball.

Besides the fact they are a great way to kill things in close quarters?

Yeah, I know what they are capable off, but does every other Allied unit have to have them? They should be an effective rarity and not the most common weapon available, It's getting boring.
Indeed. BBQ Squad, 2 in the Hell Boys, OZZ, Hot Dog, Fireball, 2 with Chef...
Isnt Eva tha planet in AT-43 or amy I gettng my vowels mixed up and its Ava or something like that.
In AT-43 the UNA homeworld is indeed Ava.
"Ava. A planet lost in the midst of many others, and yet the cradle of a bold and aggressive species: mankind."

Why have flamethrowers be a rarity when they work very well in congested combat areas?
Both sides have plenty of x/+ weapons ignoring cover, with the Axis having the Hans, Lother, Stefan, and Sturmpionere. They don't have as many, but they have other special toys to play with. The Allies have one more squad option, one more character option, and one more walker with flamethrower style weapons (ie: x/+ ignoring cover). I don't see a huge difference.
The Allies still have plenty of options to use that don't have flamethrowers, which can be a good thing with flamethrowers only having range 1 for most units. They have twelve out of fourteen infantry squads, six out of eight characters, and six out of nine walkers. The walkers are the most significant percentage, but they still have plenty of other options.
The Axis limited specialty units are close combat only units (no range for walkers), where they have two of fourteen infantry squads, two of eight characters, and the only walker with no ranged attacks. That matches up the same way as the flamethrower variance, with one more infantry squad, one more character, and one more walker than the Allies.
I think EVA is just generic name for vehicules, much like Ursula and Amanda for the allies...
At least it shows on the Hermann premium model:
