Anyone in Marietta / Roswell GA area that plays ??

By mariettabrit2, in Dust Tactics General Discussion

Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone plays in the Atlanta GA area. My LGS doesn't really have much of a DT player base but I'm going to keep persevering with demos :)

If anyone lives in the area and wants to get some games in let me know! Or if your LGS in the area plays regularly let me know that too :)

I'll be looking to play DW when it's released too

cheers

Rich

Hello Rich,

There is a small group that plays at Hobbytown in Kennesaw on occasion. I live in Ellijay, but work in Kennesaw, but have yet to play with them. I believe they may have a tournament upcoming in the new year.

Greg

Thanks for the info, I've been to the store in the past but never seen it played there. I stopped going to hobbytown as they're only open 'til 9pm and there are other stores open later (more convenient and more game time lol).

I'll have to call and see when they play...

cheers

Rich

Looks like Hobbytown has a league starting early March '12

Yeah, I was talking with Bill over at Hobbytown this week.

I work in Kennesaw, but live in Ellijay, so that is the nearest place for me.

I have built a substantial collection of units thus far and have more on the way. We'll be able to have some good battles.

I believe Dust Warfare will be the next step for us all.

Greg

Want to meet up at hobbytown for some games ?

I pretty much have all the current models / expansions :)

Had a great time last night at hobbytown with you guys :) lets see if we can get more folks iterested / attending... that's a seriously impressive collection of DUST miniatures Greg :)

Yeah! That was a good time. I wish I were nto on the road so much, but I scheduled another Meetup for the February 9.

Maybe some people will see that we are playing on a consistant basis and join in.

Surely, there are more than three people in the area who wish to play.

I need to find some time to catch up to you on painting. :)

You have wayyyyyy more to paint... good luck with that lol

You are correct sir!

I have to get started on something for the upcoming contest.

Believe it or not, I have more walkers on the way, along with some M8s and Bantams for my recon troop, and some M10s to be converted to M36s for a tank destroyer company, and some M4A3 76s for a tank company.

I am looking at setting up a cross section of 1st Armored Division to include artillery, engineers and other support elements.

I am hoping they will come out with some 90 mm gunned medium walkers for the Allies.

We need to get some more players so someone can pickup the SinoSoviets, or at least enough to have some team play.

I have the current SSU models pre-ordered (sigh I'm addicted),

Yes we certainly need more players tho... I'm sure if we hold some regular game nights we'll draw some attention :)

Need to get some games on the weekend (Sundays maybe) when there's more folks...

Don't get me wrong, I have one for one Axis to Allies now, excluding the two Loths. I am sure I will have the fortitude to purchase the SinoSoviets if only under the justification that both of my sons and I each have access to a different faction.

I could play some Sundays as well. But with all this playing, when do you expect me to paint? :)
