I happened to be re-listening to some of my old Blind Guardian cd's, when I realized they've a song called "Wizard's Crown". Instantly I thought of Talisman and proceeded to listen and look up the lyrics.

Okay, when I first started listening to it, I couldnt really tell much of what he was saying, so I had to look up the lyrics. And you could probably chalk most of the lyrics up to just coincidence (with the Dungeon, the Stone of Ambar, the Gate, and the Wizards Crown). But then he says "The battle has begun, the Warlocks time has come, I pay the price I've to pay". I mean that pretty much describes going to the Warlocks Cave and paying the price for the Talisman, cmon its right there in plain english (well heavy metal band English anyways). And I do so love my heavy metal.

Now I just have to make one of those music playing hallmark cards and attach it to the inside of my Talisman box, so it plays this song every time I open it.

That would mean having a headache every time you play Talisman lol thrash metal what a racket! Give me a LOTR theme tune any day.

Eighties SPEED metal. Blind Guardian's early stuff is definitely not thrash. They play Speed with a deep Helloween influence...I'd even wager that the way Hansi Kursch sings the lyric "Halloween" may be a reference to their contemporaries.

But enough Metal snobbery! I just wanted to point out thematic similarities between das song and the game, not start a Heavy-Metal classification flame war!...Not that we've arrived there (Thankfully), but better to nip such things in the bud.

There is always "Great Adventures in Wonderland" by "The Tables" if you really want a tune based around Talisman!
