Just wondered if anyone was playing with some interesting house rules I could introduce to my gaming group.

I will set the ball rolling, We dont get our Races or reveal objectives (we always play with age of empire option) until after the board is set up

We choose our races by setting all the home systems face down, then people pick randomly until all players have the same number. EG, with 3 players we'd have all 17 face down, people would pick until they had 5 choices, the remaining 2 are discarded. With 4 each person would get 4 choices with 1 discarded, so on and so forth. If there's one thing we don't want, it's for people to constantly pick the same race.
