"Lightning Bolt" timing question

By Pengy, in Talisman Rules Questions

Hi,

I have a question about the Lightning Bolt spell. It says "Cast at any time on any character". Is the following allowed:

A player moves to an empty space and encounters the board. The player draws a magic object.
Another player now cast Lightning Bolt to prevent that player from picking up the object?

And can Lightning Bolt be used in combat like this:

Player1 attacks Player2. Player1 attacks in Battle, throws Toadify and Finger of Death.
Player3 now cast Lightning Bolt before the dice are rolled to determine attack scores.

Hi Pengy,

I believe that lighting bolt says that the character is stunned, and may do nothing more except using a counter or reflection spell.

If he is stunned, the combat will end.

__________

I don;t know the answer for your first question, but if i think logical, then the player must ditch the object after he draws the card, because you make him stunned, before he can keep it for himself.

That sounds about fair, I think...

Thanks :)

Vel. you have the second bit wrong!

1) Yes that is fine.

2) No. If Toadify and Finger of Death are cast before Lightning Bolt is cast, they immediately take effect as they have already been cast!!!

True true.

Off course, toadify and finger of death can be cast before someone else cast lighting bolt.

I only mean with my explanation, that the turn ends after someone is casting lighting bolt! (except if that person has counterspell or reflection)

so we agree? lol gran_risa.gif

Thanks for the first answer Ell .Now i know that too demonio.gif

PS @ Pengy, sorry for the bad explanation..
