Normally i'm not one to do this, however last game my players asked me to tell the DW online world what they did. The mission was headed by the longest living player i have a Space Wolf Assault marine, a new Pc as a Storm Warden Assault marine, a Storm Warden tech marine and Black Templar Apothecary. Some of what they did was crazy. They crashed landed on a planet overrun by orks. They were on the trail of a squad of space marines stationed on the planet that i created myself. The first thing that happened was when the Wolf marine ambushed 15 ork meganobz and killed them all single handedly. The other assualt marine was trying to use a sniper rifle and failed epically. Next they came across a huge army of Orks and wanted to kill the warboss. The wolf made his plan and stationed himself in one corner of the encampment in secret. The techmarine was stationed on a hill with the sniper rifle he took from the other storm warden. The templar drove a landspeeder and caused havoc as the other assualt marine shot up the encampment and got the boss to come out. This encampment was full of ork armour and big guns. the landspeeder team got the boss to come out. Next the tech shot at him with the sniper. The Guns turned and started shooting at him and he ran. The wolf sprang from hiding and started lobbing grenades. The speeder came back and with the luck of the emperor killed the boss. They were able to take off and get the big guns to hit their own ork army blowing half of themselves up. Next the came upon a town ready to be over run. They filled the sewers with promethium and tricked the orks into attacking in a narrow corridor. They exploded the promethium and took out half of another army. Lastly they got to a fort under seige. The warboss attacked the Storm warden assualt marine. The Sw wasn't doing so hot all game but challeged the ork to a duel. He assaulted with his sacris claymore but just couldn't do any damage. He broke off and 4 conqueor tanks fired and hit the boss. The boss lived and ran to the space wolf to strike him with a power klaw. i rolled badly and it blew up on him. He fired with his gun and it exploded as well killing him. I rolled two 100's in a row. it was a crazy campaign all around.

Sounds like it was a really fun game! Over the top maybe, but it certain sounds like they had a good time.

A lot of the things they killed were supposed to be set pieces. They just have one badass leader for sure.

Err have you considered giving some of your load bearing NPC's touched by the fates? It might even out some of your rolling.

I do now. My rolling on enemies is always bad.
