Immune to Character abilities

By Kingsguard, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

If a character is "Immune to character abilities," does that include keyword abilities aswell? Stealth? Deadly?

Nope. Keywords are not character abilities.

I see. That's unfortunate. How about cards like Meera Reed or Milk of the Poppy that blank a text box? Does she negate keywords?

If you blank a card's printed text box you're also blanking all printed keywords on that card. However, keep in mind that you'll not be blanking any gained keywords.

Alright. Thanks for the clarification.

Meera's "then" effect is considered a character ability because it kicks in while she is in play. So she cannot blank the text box of a card that is immune to character abilities (but on a non-immune card, she'll blank all printed keywords, traits and abiities).

I realize that Traits are not character abilities, but how is it that Keywords (Stealth, Deadly) are not?

This came up today in a game and I can't find anything to help my argument

Sorry, just found it:

(3.7) Card Abilities
"Card abilities" (i.e. "Character ability,"
"Location ability," or "Attachment ability")
refers to anything in a card's text box, except
for traits, keywords, and flavor text. "Card
abilities" also refers to any abilities (again,
keywords and traits are excluded) gained by
card effects

also note that keywords cannot be cancelled (ambush i think is the only one that appears like it might be cancellable). just thought id throw that out there :)
