I don't suppose anybody has a complete breakdown of the tiles in this set? Any pics of new tiles? Yet again FFP are frugal with their descriptions of content.
Cheers

From what I hear it should contain everything from victory bridge. so the 2 structures and the bridge tiles but I haven't been able to see the contents myself.
It mentions water and bridge tiles, so does this mean 2 bridge tiles and 4 blank water tiles to make the 3 tile wide gaming area? Who know? I didn't know about the buildings from VB, thought it was only complete tiles from this pack, really need some pics.
I don't know what all is in it, but based on pictures and descriptions, my expection is that it has:
Enough snow and warehouse tiles to do Operation Blue Thunder, since it comes with that campaign book.
That leaves 3 double-sided tiles.
So I would expect 2 water and one bridge on the one side of these 3, with buildings and perhaps something else (I think I saw a picture of one of the tiles being rubble - i.e. infantry only.)
However, I'm not sure whether it's 12 tiles PLUS smaller buildings and obstacles, or including that. Depending on that, it could be quite different.
I gave in and bought the set, pics:
Wow, I'm REALLY not buying this. And I can't see why anyone who's bought the core sets and expansions would. As far as I can see, everything is either in the original core set (snowscape and inside base), revised set (bridge, water, small and large building), Cyclone (ramp squares) or SeeLowe (those useless wreckage and ammo dump squares).
The only people I can see having any interest in this is someone who only bought the Revised Set, and wants a larger, sturdier board. It isn't even a real substitute for either Cyclone or SeeLowe, since it doesn't come with landing craft, submarine or any of the great SeeLowe buildings. So it's only really a substitute for the original core set, but why on earth would you not buy THAT before anything else?!
Well I bought it b/c i wanted the bridge tiles but still am a little disappointed there weren't more unique tiles.
Thanks for posting the pic, certainly not worth getting for those who have bought the other expansions. The only useful bit would be the bridge and water tiles, but even then I expect I could just use plain boards to cover parts of the bridge map that is not water or bridge, might even look better as the water will be at a lower level than the land.
Or you could leave the water boardless and make a bridge out of the little ramp tiles or something.
It seems the onlly real new thing is the reverse of the building tiles, which show a slightly different configuration of entrances than that of the Revised Set. When I lay down that poster map to play a match, I'm always a bit disgusted, but once I start playing I completely forget it's not a nice, sturdy cardboard tile.
It adds a few different buildings than come with Operation Seelowe, train station tiles that could be used for special scenarios or simply as alternate terrain tiles, and the thick tiles for those who don't like the Revised Core Set's poster maps.
I bought it to have more open tiles for when I'm running a league. Finding the original Core Set for tiles is getting harder unless you want to pay premium prices. For those who can't get them, the tile set gives a good replacement.
Nobody needs it if they have access to other sets of tiles, but for those who don't, it is a quite viable option.
It gives tiles for those who don't like the poster maps, reprints Operation Blue Thunder for those who can't get an original Core Set, and gives more tiles for those who want to play more or bigger battles.
It's not for everyone, but it doesn't have to be. It gives options to players who don't have another viable option for some things.

I don't see any train station in those pictures above. But my SeeLowe came with three railroad track tiles.

I was probably remembering the tiles wrong, as I bought the two fairly close together. I remember being most happy that I could recreate the Revised Core scenarios with tiles, and that the buildings were also recreated in tiles instead of simply issuing the same buildings again.
I was also surprised that the tiles were not exact matches for previous tiles when I looked at both sides. That's probably why I was remembering the biggest difference (the railroad) with the wrong set. In the end, I had plenty of tiles to set up two scenarios at once for Game Nights in a small store without worrying about who else was bringing tile sets and when they would arrive.
I'd gotten into DUST later, after the Revised Core Set was released.
My FLGS had been able to get only three of the original Core Set, and I knew of other players that wanted some, so I only bought one. That, with the expansions, meant the Tile Set was a good thing for me.
