General Store encounter

By AVEC2, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

There's a KiY General Store encounter that reads: "Pass a Lore (-2) check to interpret the meaning in the strange stars overhead. If you fail, you must pass a Luck (-2) check or be arrested for loitering. If you pass, you find $1 for each success you rolled."

Why would looking at stars would make you richer? Maybe the card was meant to say, "you gain 1 Clue token for each success", but they printed "you find $1" by mistake. Looking through the General Store cards, it looks like most of them are opportunities to collect money, but some cards let you collect clues. I suppose I could just ignore the flavor text for this encounter, but it sure has me baffled.

Well...

You look up and correctly interpret that you are standing inside the general store and can't actually see the stars. So all those shining things above you are actually silver dollars.

Brian, you nutter!

Anyone else have a Buffy moment? "You can't see the stars, love, that's the ceiling. Also it's day."

Perhaps you're outside the general store and if you interpret correctly it leads you to a hidden cache of money.

You buy a lotto ticket with the info you got from reading the stars, etc
