Hey gang,

The Reckless Dice Podcast has put up our newest episode, #23, available for download from iTunes or www.RecklessDice.com.

We have also made available several new Live Play sessions including a series of adventures GMed by Doc the Weasel who many of you may know from the boards.

Please enjoy,

Gitzman

Loving it... would love to see more recorded games from many different groups. Looking forward to more.

We are starting up another new series to immediatly follow the Witchs Song adventure we just finished. This series will be GMed by Chris Wagner (who played the Dwarf Slayer in the Witchs Song games). He will be running us through the Horror at Hugeldal which i am really looking forward to.

Thanks for all your work. The sandbox style session is quite hard to follow for an Bretonnian like me.

I had the same feelings, however once you are in a session or two the reoccuring themes and topics start to show up and the scope of the adventure closes in a bit more.

I have two more sessions which i'll be posting over the next few weeks of that series which get quite interesting to say the least.

Part of that is probably because our group had been playing for months before Gitzman joined in. At the point that we started recording, the party was about halfway through this particular plotline. Not to mention this wasn't the first thing they did in Ubersreik, so there's a lot of backstory and context that is missing from the podcast jumping in where it did.

We just recorded the last session for this story last weekend, and that one is a lot tighter. I usually have the players directing the flow of what happens next, but with the story coming to a head we were able to pace it out much more briskly. It was one of my favorite sessions in a long time, and I think worth a listen when Gitz posts it. (it will be Underworld Rising part 3)

When we start back up after the holidays, we will be starting fresh with a new location. With less story baggage held over, I'm hoping those sessions will be easier to follow since listeners can start more on the ground floor.

On a side note, since I'm developing this new area right now I was considering writing up my process for developing a sandbox in either a blog or here on the forums. I know that there are a lot of first time roleplayers/GMs here on the forums, and I think it may be good for those who have never tried creating/running a sandbox (which I think is infinitely easier to deal with once you get that initial work in).

Just noticed on itunes that one episode is called Sweet Marrow... just curious, is that my one sheet from the daily empire?

Haven't used it myself yet :)

Never mind, listening now... Followed the misanthropes live sessions too - it's nice to hear some other GMs and their styles :)

Yes it is, we had a blast running that session as a one brighter between adventures. It was comical and dangerous, good times.
