Creatures Anathema ship date?

By Sagan2, in Dark Heresy

I've got the money burning a hole in my bank account. Just waiting for the email saying my usual web order site has them in stock.

Yep.. I would by it this instant, but...

I think I'll wait it to land in Europe first, because it would cost me 75 $ to get it here (60 € )

Maybe Amazon.co.uk will get copies of that some day? Well.. let's keep our hopes up =)

w00t!

If any of my players are reading this: Just a heads up. You're screwed.

I don't believe it.,.. Amazon UK just cancelled my order!! WTF!?

Screw Amazon. They've had their three strikes over the past few months, I ain't using them again. I'll give my business to a smaller independent retailer who deserves it.

Gameslore, here I come!

I also got the same treatment from Amazon. As Walker said, though, the Orc's Nest has it in stock. If I don't manage to get it today then I'll have it by tomorrow.

Amazon has just done the same to me; you want a reason look at the price you pre-ordered it at and look at the price everyone else has it at. When I pre-ordered mine the price was £13.19, Simply Games has it for £27.99. Whats the betting that Amazon suddenly has it in stock for £30.00 in a few weeks; niftly avoiding their pre-order price promise?!

First copy out of Eclectic's shipment, straight out of the delivery box.

Feelings: satisfaction at seeing my name in print again (some of the rules for the Lictor are taken from my Unearthed Apocrypha: The Great Devourer supplement), intrigue at the many different things presented here... mild annoyance that the movement rates seem to be frequently incorrect, but largely satisfied with the book so far (bear in mind that I've only owned it for an hour and a half at this point, and that I've literally just gotten home, so I've not read the entire thing in detail yet).

Amazon.co.uk just cancelled my order today, very sneaky...

Another customer off to Games Lore

Done it to me too, a tad annoyed to say the least.

That's wacky. Amazon US hasn't done this. This is something you want to take up with them - did they give you a reason why the order is canceled?

I pre-ordered it some time ago and like DOTDG I was content to wait a bit longer becuase the price was very reasonable. I won't quote the e-mail verbatim but it basically says that they cannot get hold of it.

So FFG can we possibly get some definitive response on whether we should avoid Amazon UK for ordering your products? Every single book has had some issue when ordered through Amazon.

I just got the same treatment from Amazon UK.

Here's the quote from the email.

Must says I'm not particularly impressed by this turn of events by Amazon.

I too suffered from Amazons pre order cancellation however I ordered it from another supplier this morning and had shipping notification sent a few hours later so if first class mail is still as described I should have it in hand tomorrow Saturday just before I go to see Ma fitba team get humped agian.

And I originally had it pre ordered with a store which I cancelled once I saw amazons zonky prices....really I mean how is a Scotsman meant to get a good deal these days.

Still all in all it cost me £24.60 including 1st class shipping

I think, instead of immediately ordering, you should (or perhaps you "should have") contacted customer service and confirmed that they would do nothing for you. Otherwise, I estimate that it was about a fourty-four caliber weapon you just jumped.

I've never had Amazon do that before, myabe I'm just luckly. A few times, however, I've had them send me a item twice, which is nice :)

Leisure games just notified me my copy has shipped, thus I cancelled my Amazon copy!

Just before I cancelled my Amazon pre-order of Dawn of War 2 (because Amazon borked that up, so I just bought it at Walmart when it was released even though Amazon still didn't have any copies in) I sent them an e-mail to inquire about my order... they said that the book would be shipped on the 25th. As yet they haven't cancelled it or anything, but it's Amazon so I guess I'll have to wait and see. I would've cancelled it too, but I have a $10 gift certificate there and figured I might as well keep the order since that's what I'd use the certificate on anyway...

Leisure games have delivered...I hold the book in my hands!!!!

Worse than simply cancelling it, they then listed the book with the higher price of £27.99.

I actually contacted Amazon customer service on this as with missing books and the like I've found them to generally be pretty good. However, my experience with CA was shockingly bad. They claimed that there are actually two books, one of which they're totally unable to obtain, the other they have arriving next week. Coincidentally they became aware that they were unable to obtain the 'first' book on the same day that the 'second' book became available at a much higher price.

All in all it was a shockingly bad display of customer service that saw a lot of disingenous circular arguments from them.

So, needless to say, contacting customer services doesn't help and will probably just raise your blood pressure on this issue.

It's a great book, I'm a very happy customer, thanks to FFG, great work.

I'm hoping Australians will have the books by the end of next week. Until then, I will entertain myself with Dawn of War 2 .

Put my order in last night with Nobleknight.com. I should have it early this week. I can't wait!

My FLGS here in Muncie, Indiana, has a copy in stock. Or at least they did as of 3:30 pm today.

I had a chance to glance through it and let me say, two big thumbs up. Nice clean simple rules, some classic foes and some nifty looking new ones.

For me Amazon.co.uk has redeemed themselves abit.

After two emails complaining about the order cancellation and how it made me feel, with a link to the book on their site.

They responded more reasonably and gave me a 15£ promotional gift certificate so I could reorder the book.

This does not cancel a couple of days with irritation and being somewhat angry, but I feel that it alliviates it quite abit for me.
