Rogue Trader Crew Looking for New Members!

By DrPersons, in Rogue Trader

We hold a RT game via skype chat every friday at 8 pm PST. We have 6 players, but are always welcome to add more.

Classes available are:

Void-Master

Navigator

Missionary

Kroot Mercenary

email me at [email protected]

You tease me with your Friday games, Dr, you tease me.

You are always more than welcome to join haha

If I sign away my Friday evenings and can't drive her places she's going to beat me. You don't want me beaten, do you!?

Maybe I'll try to negotiate with her one day.

I was wondering, if it's not too late to ask, what kind of game are you running? and over what format? I'm quite interested by the Kroot mercenary idea gran_risa.gif

The RT game I'm currently playing isn't really compatible with xenos characters and I've always had a soft spot for those flesh devouring fellows. I'm not the most experienced 40k player but I'm very curious.

Hello folks it seems our dear GM is out recruiting for this game still. DR how many people will quench your thirst of players. I am one of the players in the game that he is advertising and allow me to say the game isn't exactly a normal one in the least from what I can gather. tho i do know little of the rogue trader setting. We have two characters not apart of the RT's classes. I play a Space Wolf Tactical Marine going Wolf Scout and we have ourselves a Guardsman going Sniper route. The rest of the characters are RT based as far as I know. As of right now I think our RT is going to end up being a NPC due to the guy playing him got beat by the "little' woman and is grounded from computers as he remains on the trip he is on.

Speaking as someone who loves playing Xenos, Psykers, and the occasional radical, an abnormal game shouldn't be a terrible issue. I have a super secret sneaky agent kroot right now, who could be hired on as a "fixer" or bodyguard. If those slots are filled or unavailable, I'd be happy to roll up a navigator or imperial psyker from the Templar Calix. Anyway, if you guys are looking for new members, i'd be very interested.

well we do have a Psyker right now. Form the RT book. Not sure what is all in the Templar Calix. As a player I don't mind you playing a Xenos not sure the character would like it considering he's a deathwatch character and we have the Guardsman that hates all that isn't pure human from what I can tell. I think the guardsman might have been a bit "touched" by the warp. Navigator or a Voids-men are great options as our ship only has a crew rating of 20. Anyone that could actually navigate this ship out of space dock is great or if you can hit a broadside of a ship is good too. :) We do have the whole "Body guard" role filled by us non-RT characters

I have a navigator on a back burner that I would be happy to bring out. The poor soul is a member of a nomadic house and was guiding a ship back to imperial space after an extremely profitable archeotech recovery expedition when it was borded by vicious pirates who had caught wind of the prize. Safe in his tower, Constantine, the navigator, was forced to watch as the pirates ransacked the ship, and blasted it into a hulk before fleeing back into the void. He was stranded upon that dead vessel for weeks before a Imperial vessel stumbled upon the ship and gave him passage to Port Wander where he seeks out new employment. I'd be happy to play him in this game.

Sounds good to me. DrPerson is the guy running the game I maybe older then him but is the guy running the game. He has an e-mail setup for the game only. So if you send him an e-mail it could help you out. We do play the games on Friday Nights at 8 - 8:30 PST. I'm CST so it's two hours ahead for me. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give out the e-mail or not. I'm one that values one's privacy even if the account is made exactly for this purpose.

I've already sent one to the address in the first post and confirmed time (I'm CST) as well, so I shall be joining in on skype for this session if all goes according to plan.

So Uncle Screwtape should we start seeing if we can't find ourselves a Void master to fly our dang POS ship? You got a feel of the main cast today even tho one man was missing which is pretty understandable since he's a day ahead of us. Not to mention we need someone with Lore:Common Expanse or some form of lore of that type. We're one heck of a group of really mismatched people. :) So who wants to join us any takers for a void master?

I'm interested in playing the Void-Master. I haven't played one before, so I'm "rolling" one up as I post this. Not quite sure just what I want to do with him yet. Got a few ideas rambling about in my head, from going with an Augmenticist to a Wyrdling Mutant of some kind. I suppose if I'm lucky, I could try and do both, but I doubt my luck for one reason or another. Then, when I try to roll it out, I get nothing, but over 75+ a dozen times until I rolled 51... how do you like that. Dice can be fickle mistresses it seems. So, since I was lucky, it seems I'll be trying to do a bit of both. Also, I'm going Footfallen, to grab Common Lore (Koronus Expanse) for freeish, so I've got that covered as well.

ROFL. Well if you plan on joining us then allow me to warn you as our new navigator has found we're a very broad group. It's just funny with all the things that have happen int he last 3 game sessions. I have come to the conclusion that the god Emperor only helps us when we really need it. Like allowing me to grapple a giant centipede like Xeno instead of being ate. But when we try to do simple mundane tasks we fail at every test that we are given by the Emperor. Only when our lives are in moral peril do we actually succeed at anything.

That's the complete opposite of what I'm used to seeing in the games I've played before. I remember back in a D&D game about a year or so ago, we had more critical misses in combat than hits. That's especially bad, because we weren't just level 1 either, and most of us had good bonuses to attack. Then, we'd get like 20s galore on the climb, jump, knowledge, ect tests.

That's funny. that was like me a few week ends ago at a 4E D&D and I couldn't hit crap with my combat spells. But I'm unsure on what everyone's rank is. I know the guardsman isn't far from hitting the Scout Rank table. I'm only a Rank 1 Wolf Scout right now but I'm also the power house when it comes to Combat. :)

Hey, so I suppose I should probably get some skype info and such going. Might help to have that if I wanna play huh?

If you were playing at some other time(currently your running it at four o' clock in the morning, my time) I'd be well set...
