Resurrection Ship question

By Advocator, in Battlestar Galactica

A question recently cropped up on BGG that I was hoping to get an official answer about. The Resurrection Ship location states: "You may discard your Super Crisis Card to draw a new one. Then, if distance is 7 or less, give your unrevealed Loyalty Card(s) to any player."

1. If a player uses this spot and they have an unrevealed loyalty card, are they required to pass it off to another player?

2. If a player uses this spot and they have two unrevealed loyalty cards, are they required to pass of both of them?

3. If a player uses this spot and they have two unrevealed loyalty cards, are they required to pass them both to the same player?

The wording of the spot leads me to think that the answer to #1 is yes. The first sentence includes "may" but the second sentence does not seem to give any choice in the matter. Now on #2 and #3 I'm really not sure at all. I can see ways to read the location in a way than answers both questions yes and a way to read it so that both questions come out no.

Anyone at FFG able to help clear this up?

Thanks!

I just bought the game a few days ago and haven't had a chance to play yet, but I have read the rule book in preparation for tomorrow's gaming session. I don't know the answer to number one, but it given the limited number of turns in a game I'm not sure why you wouldn't choose to pass your extra card on. As for 2 & 3, and maybe I'm missing something, but I was under the impression you couldn't get to the cylon locations without first revealing yourself as a cylon - so how would you end up in the resurrection ship with 2 unrevealed cylon cards?

Baltar and Boomer each get an additional loyalty card. Baltar at the beginning of the game, Boomer at the sleeper phase. Thus, by the end of the game, each would have received three.

Going purely by wording, answer to 1 is "Yes".

Corey clarified that the answer to 2+3 is also yes.

Can I use this location even if I dont have a Super Crisis Card?

Because if a unrevealed cylon gets a Sympathyzer and every resource is in Blue, he would become a cylon and would not recieve a Super Crisis Card.

So what is possible here?

You can use it. That's why the first part is a "may". A cylon can also use it after playing his Super Crisis.

Read the location:

"You may discard your Super Crisis Card to draw a new one. Then, if distance is 7 or less, give your unrevealed Loyalty Card(s) to any player."

You need not have a super crisis

OK, thanks.

I was just confused a little about the "THEN" word, because in A Game of Thrones I also play this word means that the first part has to be succesfully played in order to activate the second part.
