Hi all,

My friends and I have been playing GoT for around six months or so now I'd guess, the only deck we don't see regularly in our meta is Greyjoy, the decks we see most are Martell. I've heard a lot about Stark Siege and that it has been relatively successful on the tournament scenes, but I can't seem to track down a reliable decklist and/or strategy for an archetype that is mentioned quite a lot. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Until now I've been playing my own concoction of a Bolton deck, with a winter twist to take advantage of Ranger of Winter (love him), Winter Reserves (very useful) and a couple of other bits and pieces. It started strong in our local meta, probably the strongest around for the first few months of us playing I guess, but now we've got access to more cards and our thoughts and tactics have matured somewhat, I don't think it measures up well enough any more and I'd like to try something new.

Hi and welcome to the game.

First off, Stark Siege (from what I can tell, because I'm still pretty new here too) refers to a Stark deck that uses the "Siege of Winterfell" agenda from the Lords of Winter deluxe expansion. What the agenda does is prevents you from claiming power for your house in anything but military challenges. Whenever you win a military challenge, you claim 2 power for your house. Its a good fix in some decks because of how quickly it can claim power. Combine that with the Storm of Swords plot card, which gives you the option of initiating an additional military challenge that turn, and some Stark characters with renown, you can accumulate power quickly.

Secondly, what Stark theme do you play? The Deluxe expansion will you give the option for two decks: Tully and Direwolf. The Tully deck is the stronger of the two and can win the game very quickly if you can get Riverrun out. The Direwolf theme is weaker, since you have to restrict yourself to mostly military challenges (where Siege will be useful), and there aren't many Direwolf cards.

The Bolton theme you're running is probably fun. Do you have all of the cards out of BWoB?
