Some Questions From Newbies vol3

Hello again.

Here are some more questions we need help with!

1) When a card says if a card is in play, it means in play under any players control?

For example if a player has "Sansa", and an other Stark player plays "Lady", does Lady cost 2 less, and does Sansa get +1STR, although they belong to different players?

2)Tyrion Lannister From Kings Landing

a) when he comes out of the shadows does his ability trigger for himself coming out of the shadows, or his ability triggers only when an other card comes out ?

b) if 2 cards come out of the shadows does he get +4STR and both renown and deadly?

c) if i have him in play, and i bring one more out of the shadows as a dublicate , will the one in play get the +2 STR ?

3) Shadow cards, come out of shadows at the start of any phase. I need some definitions about "the start of any phase"

When we are at the challenge phase "the start of any phase" means before the start of ANY players challenges, or before the FIRST players challenges?

( i mean if i play second, and my opponenet finishes all his challenges , can i then get my cards out of the shadows and attack with them? )

no, shadows MUST be the very first thing done every phase, if any other action happens first, you gotta wait til next phase. and remember, only 1 card per player per phase can come out.

1)Yes. Otherwise, the card would read "If you control X".

2a) It triggers for him as well. Otherwise, it would read "After another card comes out of Shadows".

2b) Yes, you can use his ability each time a card comes out of Shadows.

2c) Yes, a duplicate is still a card (without title, type or text).

3) The phases are listed on the core set House cards. There is only one Marshalling or Challenges phase, though each player has his turn as active player in them. So no, you cannot wait until your opponent has finished with his challenges to bring a card out of Shadows (note that you can bring out only 1 at the start of each phase).
