Hi all, during a military challenge you can kneel 2 characters to kill an attacking character. Can you play this card prior to delaring a defender and therefore potentially kill two attacking characters AND not need to defend ?
Thanks

I think you are a little off in how you quoted the ability. You can kneel two Stark characters to kill ALL attacking characters, can't you?
Anyway, you can play actions in two different places during a challenge: between declaring attackers and declaring defenders, or between declaring defenders and resolving the challenge. You can play this event in either place. If you do it before declaring defenders and all the attackers die, the challenge ends immediately and you never get to declaring defenders (or resolving the challenge). If you play it after declaring defenders (and don't choose to let it go unopposed so you actually have a defender in the challenge), that defender remains and the challenge resolves after all the attackers are killed, pretty much guaranteeing the defender will win.
Of course, if you choose not to declare defenders, when you play the event doesn't really matter.

Apologies for the misquote, excellent answer as it helps clear up a game i am in the middle of playing.
Many many thanks for the quick repsonse
