Staton has started the occupy citadel movement in Facebook. I thought I should bring it over here so Stag might join us and camp out in Oldtown.

AFAIK the movement's goals are:

* Death to Maesters.

* 1% have 99% of all chain attachments! We won't stop until no one has any chains!

Sadly, though, I don't know if I share your cause. I don't mind maesters so much in the LCG.

Well let me be the first to say that I don't mind the Maesters either! They are people just like us! Sure I might call for their entire order to be put to the sword, but I really only want 80% of them put to the sword! You know how it is when you're passionate about something, first you're calling for x amount of people to be slaughtered and before you know it, you're calling for EVERYONE to be slaughtered. Its such a slippery slope, but I digress. I know everything seems to be fine now, because the maesters are giving EVERYONE chains right now. But what would happen if the maesters decided to start taking back chains? It is known that only those causes that are backed by maesters and their chains are the only ones that win! Even our great King Robert has taken the chain! If the maesters can force our KING to take the chain, they can force ANYONE! I say we cast off these chains and break the maesters' hold on us forever! Look, maesters worked hard for their links. If refugees actually got off their butts and started fighting they might still have their lands. Instead they are the abused 99% "red shirts" of the AGOT world. I will not stand by as someone attacks a fictional traited group of individuals who's family had the means to put them through Oldtown college. (I believe their football team Learned Leopards recently had some sort of Orphan of Greenblood scandle).

Besides, soon, everyone will be able to redistribute the links with this...

I shall not stand for this blasphemy! These refugees are only refugees due to the War of the Five Kings which was clearly orchestrated by the Conclave! They have a Maester of War! Why would a peaceful organization even NEED a Maester of War?

Also, look at that maester. Is he a unique, named character that we can hold accountable for his actions? NO! He's an anonymous, non-unique! Who knows how much he's donated to the War of the Five Kings campaign and then funneled through this shady "Conclave" organization!

And where did you earn you degree from, playgroundpsychotic? Hmmm? I'd be willing to bet that it was at Oldtown! I also like how you are referring to intrigue like your high and mighty maesters are free of it. I'd like to point to a little plot called Schemes of the Scholar! I admit that there are certain fringes of our movement that have ulterior motives, but at the core of this movement is the purest of desires: Freedom. Freedom from the Maester oppression! You are right, the Maesters do have the vast majority of the knowledge in Westeros, but why don't they share it, eh? You have to forge a chain and wear it before they let you know anything of importance. Otherwise you are forced to go through a maester to gain access to the knowledge, and even then he won't let you read the source material. He will give you half answers and riddles! The maesters are hoarding knowledge just like they are hoarding the chains!

Before we know it, they will be spraying alchemists fire in our faces.

My first act as Head Inquisitor? Interrogating this "Intentionally Anonymous" character. I have reason believe that he only bears this "Champ" title through the shadowy machinations of maesters and is beholden to their priveleged ranks, rather than the the good conciense of we, the 99%!
