German Translation Help

By Jochen Fleischer, in Dust Tactics

Hi! Just want to ask the German speaking members here if it is correct to translate "Experimental Units" to "Versuchsverband" in German? If not, what would be the right translation? Thank you very much.

John

German is not my first language (it is my 3rd) but here is my take on it:

I think a better translation into German for "Experimental Units" would be: "Experimentelle Einheiten"

I believe that "Versuchsverband" is a request for coorporation or connection.

You can say "Versuchsverband" , "Erprobungseinheit" or "Experimentelle Einheit" just like FlorisH said. In my oppinion "Versuchsverband" sounds better cause a experiemental tank or aircraft will be called "Versuchspanzer" (tank) or "Versuchsflugzeug" (aircraft).

"Feldversuchsverband" sounds cool too (Field test unit)
