Lost a miniature - Is there anywhere I can buy another one?

By InAbsentia, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hello,

I accidentally (well of course) lost my Astarra miniature and was wondering if there was any website from which I could order another one? I just need that one miniature, really... I still have her card.

Thank you!

First things first, you could try contacting FFG's customer support to ask for a replacement. They might not be able to help you since the figure was lost after purchase (as opposed to being missing in the box), but it can't hurt to ask. They're pretty cool people.

Assuming that doesn't pan out, you could consider buying either Runewars or Runebound (core box) as both of those games also contain an Astarra figure - you get a whole new game and replace your hero fig to boot!

If that sounds too expensive or just doesn't tickle your fancy, there is a website called Auggie's (google it) that's selling Descent in bits. Don't know how much shipping would be on a single figure, but it could well resolve your problem. Something tells me the hero figs aren't the fastest sellers of the bits he sells, so I expect he'd have a few Astarras lying around. =P

Thanks, mate. Greatly appreciated. I sent an email to FFG and hopefully I will get a conclusive answer!

Thank you again!

Wish I had known about Auggie's. It would have saved me from having to buy a whole new core game when I lost a good number of cards a while back. Fortunately it worked out where the extra pieces from the second copy is allowing me to play up to 8 players aside from the Over Lord.

8 hero players?! How do you ever spawn anything?

Unless all 8 hero players are newbies with an aptitude for not picking things up, I can't see how that would be anything more than a waste of time for the overlord player.

I'm curious on this too, often since trying to run 5 heroes breaks the game quite often without houserules.
