For those of you that don't know, we changed the xp total gained per session to 500 instead of 400.
So... storming Fel's ship. I'd like to post what I know (or rather, remember) of the plan:
1: Hiring every merc in Port Wander, burning PF if we have to (think of it as an *~investment~*).
2: Bringing our ship around and storming Fel's cruiser(?) with our armsmen.
3: Allying with the unknown RT nearby and agreeing to sp[lit the profits (I'm okay with part 1, part 2's a bit iffy).
4: All the above, at once.
That's about it, really. Honestly, I'm okay with whatever we choose, as long as Fel gets it up the exhaust pipe.
I know this is a bit late to be asking since we play again tomorrow night but I just found out about it from another game I'm going to start playing. But does anyone have access to the First Founding book? I found out the book has a wolf scout in it which I think would be perfect to turn my tactical marine into if it's not so over powered compared to being a tactical. Also would help with needing stealth and such too. Also been working a Void-master character too incase our GM has to hard of a time making the game for a DW type character. A first mate of sorts is what I found of the void master.
I personally do not have the book, but I am certain one of the other players has it. Also, I don't think your Space Wolf will be an issue, unless you would rather change in which case I would prefer it done as soon as possible to avoid complication in the story. But I have some things planned for your wolf if you wanna stick with him.

Okay. Well I have no real problem playing the character. I'm just worried that he may become a hinder more so then an assist. I'll finish up the voidmaster and keep him on a back burner for now. I do know of two other rogue trader groups I might be able to use him in. Also I've not seen anyone but our dear captain about the book. I say our Tech-priest probably has it but not seen him on. I just want to see what is listed in the part about Space Wolves so I could adjust the sheet if need be and such. I do need to resend you my sheet since something wasn't on there that should have been.
I don't have all that much access to the source books. However, on a separate note, I wouldnt worry about your guy hindering the group. Unless you go insane from constant psychic resist failure then you are one of the most valuable members.
maybe the Pysker needs to learn to make sure I am not within range of such abilities. At least I didn't go half crazed and cut into people tho.
YAY. I got First Founding and it's quite interesting in here esicpally the Wolf Scout. could become a Scout with the XP I've recieved so far and from what the book says I can have both the Normal armor and Scout armor due to the nature of Deathwatch.
I do get a different rate of increase when it comes to the stats. Like perception is cheaper Fellowship gets alot more expensive but hell I'm not the trader on this ship anyway so worries there.
That's great to hear, man! I'm assuming Wolf Scouts get a lot of sneaky-type skills, right? That'll be something to put the fear of the Emperor in our enemies for sure! Not to mention being one hell of an asset in more... salubrious matter...
Yes and no. The think is I have to actually spend Xp to take up the advance from what i can see it works very much the same as the advances in Rites of Battle for a minor difference and that it is actually has a different characteristic table. So unlike the normal tactical marine one I get the new one posted in the book and I also don't get access to any talents or skills that use Fel. Also it's weird that some of the skills and such I can take up for a wolf scout are more expensive then just getting it for being a Space Wolf. At least I loose like Command which is useless for this game and I gain Shadowing instead.
Plus other stuff. It's nice and I figured I'd spend the XP to get it. You and I could do some nice stealthy stuff.
give me my scout armor and some other little goodies and we can let the arch-miliant take the frontal assault and you and I come up from side or behind and kill the enemy.
Ack-ack-ack
Sorry for not making it to the previous session, I had a bout with a little food poisoning. I won't be able to make it to next week's session either, thanks to academia nuts making life that little more miserable. I'd be up for Christmas Eve, assuming you guys are actually having one that day though.
It's okay my friend. I'm sorry that you were sick glad that your okay tho.
Also i wish you had been there as we might not have gotten in such trouble if the smooth talker was present at the location the guardsman had tried to gamble with a pirate and lost. Almost getting us killed because of a freaken mining planet that had some Xeno's on that that reminded me of Tyrandis. I did manage to keep the party and my self from being ate by one such Xeno. On the note of the game this week not sure if we're going to have a session or not. DrPerson said he has something important to do this weekend that will mostlikly prevent such a thing. On the Christmas Eve thing I'm game. I don't celebrate the holidays for various reasons. But that doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.
I just logged into my Skype and noticed a message from Friday of the 23rd. Did we actually have the game even tho I got a e-mail saying that we weren't playing until the 6th of Jan?
Hey I just wanted to fill in the people who missed friday's session on what we accomplished. We arrived at Footfall in good time and a trade between Journe and the Restitution was quickly organized and successfully carried out. Due to our speedy recovery and arrival two to three weeks ahead of schedule, we have created a useful ally in Scriviner Journe and gained 3 PF with a temporary chance to aquire things at a cheaper rate (insert spending spree). In addition, we received the star-charts that should be sufficient for our purposes and an augmentisist Void-master named Nathainie who's drunk but (hopefully ) competent haha. After the sesh, we figured out a new, rather nifty ship that can be brought into the game to replace our POS at the soonest convenience..... annnd that's it I believe.
I'll admit that I got kind of board yesterday and disigned a few more ships (mostly firgates), and some time over the week or before game starts on friday we can have a discussion on which ship to take. At the moment there is a Cobra class destroyer, a Falchion class frigate, a Sword class frigate, and a Tempest class frigate.
Well done!
Could you post the stats on google docs/forums/something? That way we wont have to describe each and every component before a decision is reached...
good idea! ... how do I do that?
Also I added another Falchion to the list as well as a Defiant Light Cruiser
If you have a google account (ie gmail) then it appears as "documents" under the menu that appears when you click on the upper left hand corner, or you can send them to me over email/skype, I could upload them, and then post the link here... whatever's easier
Alright then, here are our ship options. after you click on the link, go to the tab that says character sheet at the bottom of the page.

note, all use 59 or 60 SP
So do we have a vote on which one of these ships we should take up? I personally don't know enough about how things work on Ship combat ot know what is good and what isn't. I know a fast ship that is manuverable and has good room for collecting anything we find later. And from my character's point of view a Torphy room wouldn't be bad idea since he loves to collect stuff from his kills.
I'll send my vote to falchion option 2
Agreed, although I'd be okay with the tempest/destroyer if that happens
Yeah, I'd go for the Falchion (Option 2) as well. While the Tempest what with a cargo hold, better speed and armor, it's hull integrity is gonna take a hit right out of the ship yard. Plus, the weapons on the Falchion are better in my mind, I prefer a bit of range and of course Vessel of the Fleet is just awesome.
