Being a former Vermonter

Wait. Did I know this?

Probably. Not so sure, but I think I mentioned it in some e-mail ::laughter:: I spent a year there, when I was 16. Never really felt the need to return home, after a year in the States ;-) But I had to. And when I say "I'm homesick", I mean *always* Vermont. Magical place, enchanted mountains and winters, lovable people. I had a boyfriend, some friends, and a real family. I still miss all of them so much, even if nine years have passed (wow, that's the first time in the last two years I say my age ::laughter: :) . Sigh.

Nope, sorry, I wasn't sure what you meant by "how you been"! If it's a general question, I'm ok :-) I feel very Yuletidish, I love this period of the year :-) Even if here it hasn't snowed yet. And that's a pity :-)

I may not have mentioned this because I wasn't sure it was relevant (oh irony—this thread!) but after leaving Dunwich at the end of our honeymoon, we decided to take the long route through VT and it was probably the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. The rest stop off the highway was log-cabin style and there were just trees and mountains everywhere . Our route was a mountainous winding path through an infinite green hazy vista.

I've been several times, most recently this summer. One night, there was a terrible thunderstorm, and looking out on the pond next to the house and the vista of mountains and forests stretching into the distance as the storm raged was quite spectacular. Although I admit I was more excited by finally being able to play Mansions of Madness with five people....

Tibs, Walk, I really wish to be able to return there, someday. Maybe when I'll be older, I don't know. I still have a map of the Vermont on a small magnet on my fridge, and a huge picture of Hinesburg hanging on the wall in my bedroom. I've never really left that place. Sounds strange. Sometimes you feel at home a thousand miles away from the place you are supposed to call home ::laughter::

Besides, if I should ever be able to return, we can play Arkham all together ::laughter::

We'll all meet in Boston and then just drive 40 miles west and rent a place to accommodate all of the Arkhamites on the East Coast!

You got that right

We should design an "East Coast Cult Membership" t-shirt or patch or something similar. And then wear it, even if living scattered across the Earth!
