Sorry about the delay. As many of you have figured out the new license is Tekken 6. We will an official press release out soon but wanted you to know ASAP. This is great news for the game weather it is the license you wanted the most or not. Wy you might ask? Good question, I will tell you why. Some people have asked what are plans are for promoting the game this year, well we have a big two front push coming (details will be announced very soon) but this is actually a huge help to the game as TEkken is the biggest, best selling fighting game in the world, which will not only bring players that have been waiting for it but also give us some huge opportunities to showcase and promote the game. More to follow soon, I have to run I've been out of town on business all week.

If you've ever played Virtua Fighter, you're really close to the Tekken series. At least by playstyle anyway. But I'm excited! Christie and Steve as playable characters! Sweetness!

also I went to count, Tekkan 6 has 40ish (!!!) characters. I have a feeling there won't be too many 3-dot characters from this series for awhile.

*Edit* newest speculation for everyone who loves it! who do you think the first 8 characters will be to be printed from this series? I have my hopes set on Bob because... dude, it's a guy named Bob who wouldn't want to play this man?

Im super excited, and there is MANY, MANY people I want to play from this license.

Jin, Julia, Violet/Lee, Roger, Steve, and Sergei just off the top of my head.

As a fan of the series I think it fits perfectly into the UFS universe and I could not be more excited about it.

If Anna and Hworang enter ASAP I am cool with this. Either way this is a huge accusation for UFS and I look forward to seeing what James has up his sleeve for some of the characters.

I hope for two things: 1) Kuma and Panda both show up eventually as separate characters; 2) many cards have Kuma/Panda-only abilities (never just Kuma-only or just Panda-only). They should be separate characters, but with equal access to all the same moves.

Though... I would be okay with a "Repeatedly Spurned" foundation that has a Ganryu/Kuma ability. (Their love lives are so sad...)

Also, I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope to see Mokujin, eventually. Obviously, they'd need to come up with a an ability that's less broken than Olcadan's aborted incarnation... but I think I have it...

30 vitality, infinity symbol (just like Universal Fighter), but with this ability:

"Once per game F: Ready this character. Your next attack gets +6 speed. Search your deck for X characters with different names and reveal them. If X is less than 8, remove those characters from the game and shuffle your deck. Otherwise, choose one of them randomly and shuffle the rest into your deck. If you are at maximum vitality, your current and maximum vitality become the chosen character's maximum vitality; otherwise, your current vitality remains the same or becomes the chosen character's maximum vitality (whichever is lower). Attach the chosen character to this character. For the rest of the game, this character becomes a copy of the chosen character in every way."

Either way you get the surprise that comes with having an unpredictable move set (ready character and +6 speed). But if you have enough different character cards, you also "figure out who you were playing as" and get to use that character's symbols and abilities.

On the one hand I'm happy that we have a new license, and one that will likely be beneficial for the game and company.

On the other hand I'm doubly sad, first off that, possibly my least favorite fighter, is the best selling game (at least according to Wikipedia... I didn't bother to do real research.) in the genre, and second that it's the new license.

At least I don't actually have to play the video game to play w/ the expansions.

Can we expecting a few promos to be released before the set itself comes out like how Morrigan did for Darkstalkers and how the SNK characters flew out a couple of months before SNK01? Now 4 Tekken character Card Of The Week promos? Now THAT would sell some boosters, baby!

I'd like to see all of them as characters, but the ones i'd like to see first are Steve, Christie, Jin, Hwoarang, King and Asuka.

Awesome news, Steve!!! I'm a HUGE lover of Tekken, (4,5, and 6) being my faves out of the series. A couple requests and items i'm looking forward to seeing play out, if I may:

1. The character Law in T6 is this franchise's version of Bruce Lee, and their equivelent to SF's Fei Long. As of yet, UFS hasn't made a viable Bruce Lee-esque character (Have built and ran 5 different versions of 4.Fei, and to a one they all end up being a 7/20 Universal Fighter). If Law is indeed in the mix of characters to be released (and since he's been there since T1 I don't see why he wouldn't) can we please please please get a set of competitive abilities that mimic the way Bruce Lee, a Jeet Kune Do specialist would fight?? If it's to be a weenie-rush style, may we please get some proper support to make weenie-rush viable?

2. The character Lei Wu Long has a set of very specialized stances that mimic the 5-Animal Way Fist of Shaolin...I'm soooo looking forward to seeing how y'all emulate his different stances in UFS (if at all).

3. Do we have a projected release date for the first T6 set??

Look at that I am almost an English major and I can't even spell correctly. I guess I won't see the Tekken expansion for UFS because I am going back to school. I have heard stories of Hworang being called Bob before Tekken 6 in tournamnet play but I never did find out what the tournament players call him now that there is a Bob in Tekken.
