Two Questions about New battlepack "The Iron Rock"

By cchopman, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

CaC41 Guild of Engineers (Unit, Engineer)
Kingdom. Action: When you play an Engineer unit from your hand, gain 1 resource.
Quest. Action: When you play an Engineer unit from your hand, draw a card.

Q: If there is not any unit in any zone, when I play the "CaC41 Guild of Engineers" into Kingdome zone, do I get 1 resource at the same time?

CaC43 Madtoof Ironleg
Limit one Hero per zone.
Action: At the beginning of your turn, target unit you control gains (P) equal to its loyalty. Then, sacrifice it at the end of the turn.

Q: At the beginning of my turn, can I tigger this action more than once to increase 2 or more units' power?

Thanks for reply... happy.gif

1- yes, it can trigger for itself

2- no, triggered action, can not be triggered more than once per occurence of the trigger.

@Shindulus:

You're wrong about first thing. You can trigger his action only when this unit is already in game. But if the guild is already in game it's not in a current chain (word "play" reffers to actual chain, like drain magic, Asuryan Cleansing). So you wont get cash/card for Guild. Thing would be different if this card would have wording like "When X enters game" Then you could trigger it (like Derricksburg Forge).

yes, sorry read to fast :x

This seems to conflict with the FAQ to me.

"Once a card enters play at the end of an action chain, it is eligible to trigger any of its own abilities, including those that trigger off of it entering play."

Nope, it doesnt.

As you quoted, when chain resolves and card ENTERS the game, you're free to start a new action chain with action which reffers to word "ENTERS".

Word "Play" always reffers to CURRENT chain, which isnt still resolved. Guild's action reffers to current chain, so it cannot trigger himself since he's not in game yet. I hope now you get it :)
