I have just read the published excerpt from the operation Hinansho rules and discovered the rules for bigger teams, I cant help the urge to comment.
I think that fielding larger teams in a single game will not add to the fun, turns will be longer and it will add more variables so more time to think moves. The opportunity to field 4 troops though might be interesting for the matriarchy, Oksana with 8 voivodes can do some fun things, I understand that the number of voivode tokens available should be bigger. I would have welcomed more multiplayer rules (more in the direction of the rules I proposed ) than just fielding larger teams.
The rules to link two boards look nice, I would use them specially when playing multiplayer, more real state to walk around and more interesting possible scenarios. It could trigger some nice fan made map extensions, I was thinking about Castle Ksiaz gardens and second floor for example, small submaps (1 or 2 a3 sized pages for ease of print) to add a third dimension and some more extra space when playing multiplayer or with big teams.
Locked doors tokens should be usable in any map, they definitely add a new dimension to non objective games as skills have a use again, some of the other new circle types look good as well.
If anyone has the original maps in a good resolution image file I would be glad to create a fan version adding these kind of circles to the map I have been trying to reach the guy that did the vassal version of tannhauser with little luck, if you have them (or the vassal module where I can extract them from) please send it along to [email protected] !!
