I got Talisman recently after wanting it for years.

I played my first game last night and it was great fun.

I am thinking about going and picking up an expansion or two, but my question is, with the expansions do you mix in the event and spell cards from the expansions and then remove them after the game. do you just always keep them in there?

With the expansions all adventure cards and spell cards are kept in its respective deck even after you're done playing a round.

You could remove the cards if you wanted to, there's no real reason to unless you wanted to play without the expansion. Expansion cards all have a symbol on them specific to the expansion they came from allowing you to sort them easily. (on the picture side, you can't tell the difference when drawing them while playing)

I had mine for Christmas last year, after not playing it since I was a young teenager. I haven't bought an expansion on purpose as I thought it was only worth using them once you got bored/worn out the orginal and wanted to liven things up. Having said that the Dragon expansion set is on my Xmas list!
