In the main Rulebook it says on page 45 "...if there are no success symbols left in the pool results, the task fails"

So my question is this: let's say a player doesn't role any failures... just blank dice... does he still fail? In other words, does he miss his arrow shot? Or do we consider it as though he never took the shot? Cause those two are very different things...

He misses it if he doesn't get any sucess symbols and no faliures. And the character still attempted the task, even if all dice in the roll come up blank. When you roll, you try to do something, if you get no net success symbols you fail.
