The White Book + Misinformation Q

By Marshal Lambert, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

White Book Agenda says you win one power if you successfully defend a challenge.

Misinformation turns a lost intruge challenge against you into a win for you.

Couple of Q's

1 - Can you only use Misinformation as defender? The wordind "against you" suggests this but I'm not 100% sure.

2 - Can you use Misinformation when you have no defenders? I assume so.

3 - In order to claim power for your agenda must you actually have defenders present in order to "successfully defend" or can you use the undefended challenge + misinformation scenario as above?

Thanks in advance

1) Misinformation works for any Intrigue Challenge in which you're participating in. It says "if an opponent would win against you". An opponent is ALWAYS against you when you're in a challenge with them. Unless otherwise stated "if an opponent would win against you as the attacker/you while you're the defender", it works for all Intrigue Challenges.

2) Yes. Since technically it's still against you, you just chose not to declare any defenders to help try and win against their attack.

3) Correct. As long as your opponent is the player initiating the challenge against you (they attack, you defend), you still claim the power since Misinformation reads "You automatically win the challenge."
