How do you come to the conclusion that Lyanna thought that Robert was a fat pig? There is evidence that she may have liked Rhaegar more, but she never thought negatively of Robert that we know. Also, Robert was quite a strong, fit, attractive person in his youth from what we've seen. He only became out of shape and overweight after the rebellion.

As for the house affiliation, I don't believe that Lyanna was trying to help anyone gain, or hold, the Iron Throne. She had her own agenda and plans, therefore she had no allegiance to anyone but herself giving her the neutral affiliation.

Lyanna didnt trust robert to be faithful would be more accurate. In the books its known through the story the reeds tell bran.

Martell's power disparity is getting a little out of hand.

the vaith, scourge, hellholt engineers, myrcella, gaston grey, sunspear tourney grounds...MAESTERS.

feels like the win keeps getting heaped onto them. if only they could be forgotten for a few cycles like lanni has been the other houses might catch up.

I'm not sure what story you are referring to here. The knight of the laughing tree? I don't remember there being anything in there about Lyanna not thinking that Robert wouldn't be faithful. Also, I argue that if Robert had married Lyanna, he would have stayed faithful due to his near worship of Lyanna.

Holy Crap! They reprinted First Snow of Winter! LOL I knew about the reprint and Damon and I discussed the 'redsegn" of the card text. It was very nice of Damon to include me and allow me input. Honestly, I was asked about new art, but I LOVE the original art. Who doesn't love a little Wight-Boarding? :) btw....I personally LOVE the new text. It's such a great offensive AND defensive card. happy.gif

Honestly, once the Lannister box comes out, people will stop complaining about Martell for awhile. Here's a little preview that I saw up at FFG:

Frey Hospitality. Plot. Intrigue Gambit. 3/6/1.

After a player loses an challenge, that player must choose and kill a character he or she controls.

So Lanni will be able to run at least 2, perhaps as many as 4 Intrigue challenges that kill people.

Very cool. Though with this plot, coupled with the new Lanni agenda, they are really disincentivizing Lady Genna a whole lot.

Or the new Lanni Iron Throne

If you are the only one to control The Iron Throne it gains: After a character triggers its character ability kneel the Iron Throne to cancel that ability. Then, kneel that character.

She is talking to Ned, and says that he has already got a child with some random woman , Ned can hardly deny it he had held the child in his arms. and Ned says something about Robert being a good man and Lyanna replies that he will never change

its been a year since last Days of ice and Fire, and the game i played against your Lanni Kneel Deck is still the worst game i have ever played, honestly when i build decks i always have that game in mind and how painful it was watching you kneel out my enitre board every round

its been a year since last Days of ice and Fire, and the game i played against your Lanni Kneel Deck is still the worst game i have ever played, honestly when i build decks i always have that game in mind and how painful it was watching you kneel out my enitre board every round

it has been! i totally wanted to hop the wall (the US border) and hang with everyone again. school obligations unfortunately trumped any fun to be had.

i feel sorry about you thinking that the worst game youve played :( having fun in the game i think is the most important thing.

that tournament was the first i played in and the whole time i was just feeling euphoric (meeting GRRM and AGOT world champs, and one chump!).

looking forward to another matchup under better circumstances :P

If I do remember correctly though Alex I outkneeled that Lannister deck with two black cells, a guild hall, and a kingswood trail in tyson's basement last christmas ;)

So now Martell has two locations that give repeatable icon removal AND a 2-cost noble? Well, looks like their tourney dominance will continue.

That said, the pack looks pretty interesting. And I might have wanted Lyanna to be Stark (with perhaps a TotH Eddard-like cost reduction) although keeping her neutral allows GRRM to maintain the mystery of everything that really went on with her, Rhaegar, the Tower of Joy, etc.

And Mathlete, I love that your card is back and wight-tastic, but I'll admit that I'm a bit irked that just when I was feeling it was safe to play characters of printed Str 2 or less again, they change your plot like that. At least it's bounce and hits both sides. Personally, I would have been ok with wording much closer to the original. :)

That saddens me, my Targ deck was hoping to pick up its Dragon Thieves _and_ its King Landing Assassins.

Also, Jack & Alex... did I meet you two last year? I always try to connect (board)names & faces, and I feel like I missed out. Or misremembered.

Thanks for pointing that out, although it doesn't change my opinion too much. Cost 2 it is; say goodnight Refugees. This changes up things a bit, (and maybe hits Martell harder than other Houses)

Well what kind of deck did you play and what do you look like? i played a martell brotherhood deck that poorly built and did pretty bad at both joust and melee.

Bastard's being reprinted. I didn't see the text though, so it may be changed subtly. (I'd kill for a change from "no further attachments may be played on this character" to "no further attachments may be attached to this character", but that's just me.) All the cards were laid out, but only the titles were visible on all but about 4 of them. I saw a 3 cost Ser Amory's Poachers, I think I saw a Cersei and a Tywin, but I could be wrong about that.

Agreed on the Bastard change. :/ The Poachers could be tweaked to need a min. dead pile STR (Like Song of Night) instead of a Doomed card. Cersei and Tywin were already spoiled in the announcement, but I'm pretty sure I saw a Ser Amory Lorch... I'd really like him to be a straight reprint: I like it when trait-manipulation is not just about removal... e.g. Using copper link to gain the army trait against that dumb 5-2-1 plot that wrecks me so often. :/
