several questions about CCG cards

By Mitya, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hello!

In our group we play in Legacy format, so we use many CCG cards. and I have several questions.

1. About Stannis Baratheon from ITE( agot.dbler.com/index.php ). Part "While Stannis Baratheon is attacking or defending alone, characters without an Intrigue icon do not count their STR. " As I understand it, Stannis also don't count strength, if attacking or defending alone. But people from our group, who have played AGoT longer than me, are saying that Stannis count his Strengt. that his ability don't refer to himself. Who's right?

2. About Moment of Glory( agot.dbler.com/index.php ). "Challenges: Choose an attacking or defending War character. Until the end of the challenge, that character gets +3 STR. After the challenge resolves, choose and kill another participating character with lower STR, if able.". Card was mentioned in forum already, so I think I know how it works, but like to clarify a few things:

- Card creates boost to strength of chosen War character and also creates delayed passive kill effectt, which implemented when effects like Deadly implemented after resolving a challenge.

- if chosen character will be killed/discarded(so became Moribund), efffect will still work? if character will be removed from challenge -- then won't?

-I still count boost to strength +3 when I'm choosing another participated character with lower strength?

- could I kill with this effect a character with immunity to triggered effects, like forementioned Stannis?

- There is a character with Deadly in a challenge and I use MoG. Is it a First Player decide which will be implemented first, Deadly or MoG effect?

Thanks in advance.

I see no reason why Stannis should count his STR. There is no errata in CCG FAQ about him and his card text is pretty clear. You can give him the Intrigue icon with Selyse.

- The card is a triggered effect. At the end of the challenge, only a passive effect initiates. It is indeed implemented along with Deadly.

- If chosen character is Moribund, the effect still work. If he has been removed from the challenge, I would say it does not work because of the wording "choose another participating character" cannot successfully resolve.

- Yes the +3 STR boost expires in step 6. of framework action window. The kill effect resolves in step 4.

- Yes because it is considered passive card effect. However, Immunity to card effects would protect from this kill effect.

- The first player decides

Stannis is not immune to card effects. He is immune to TRIGGERED effects so is he still immune to the passive part of this Event?

That's what I meant : Stannis can be killed, but not -say - Cat o' the canals.

Thank you for answers.

I can't give Stannis Intrigue Icon with Selyse, because he immune to triggerrd effects. But I can use an attachement for it, I guess. Or my opponent if he has such a card.)) I more often face Baratheon deck than play one.
