Hi, I just completed this mission and now I'm closing all the open portals on the board. Should I remove from the board the monsters with the same dimension symbols, as when I close a gate after exploration of an outer world? Thank you!

You've been playing wrong unfortunately, Horatio.

The total number of gate tokens in possession by the investigators has to be greater than or equal to the number of investigators.

So for a four investigator game, one investigator can have all the gate trophies, or two investigators can have 2 and 2 or 1 and 3 trophies... etc.

This is an example of when you close a gate, you can collect it as a trophy unless otherwise stated .
