The Reckless Card Run-Run ! :

Success : The skaven hurls a smoke bomb at its feet and dashes into cover. Affected enemies cannot see or target the skaven with their next action

2 Banes : The skaven loses 1 aggression and 1 cunning die
2 Boons : The skaven gains 2 Misfortune Dice to its next Stealth (Ag) check
2 Boons : The skaven gains 1 aggression and 1 cunning die
Chaos Comet : The skaven suffers 1 wound

That card can be used by : Skaven, Greenskins (Goblin), NPCs (Ruffians, Townsfolk)

So, I don't understand what is the interest to use the Reckless Face if you are a Skaven...

2 Boons and you gain 2 misfortune Dice ?!!

I expect what they meant is 2 misfortune dice on attempts to spot the Skaven when he is being stealthy. In general, the PCs are the ones who make the rolls, not the NPCs.

Example:

PCs are sneaking past a NPC guard. The PCs roll Stealth (opposed by guard's Observation). The NPC guard doesn't make an Observation check vs the PC's Stealth.

Similarly, what this means is that the PCs make an Observation check vs the Skaven's Stealth, and gain 2 misfortune to their check.

Just a guess, but perhaps the top "2 Boons" was instead supposed to be Banes instead? If the Misfortune Dice were to be applied to the PCs, I would think it would say "next Observation check". Or, it was supposed to say Fortune Dice instead of Misfortune? It seems there must be an error, its figuring out exactly what it was that is speculation.

You can't choose the side of the card. The monster card displays the stand, so most creatures HAVE to use a specific side. And thus have to suffer the consequences.

Oh, but on the point:

The Skaven gains 2 FORTUNE DICE, not 2 misfortune dice...
