This Friday we have a dedicated Apothecary joining our group, and so this conversation was exceedingly timely. She and I were talking about this very same Medicine issue and reached the same conclusion (allow Nature Lore for the herbal medicine prep checks) before seeing these posts. Seeing respected forum members reach the same conclusion was quite a validation. Maybe we are starting to get a hang of this WFRP3 stuff after all. Seriously, though, very helpful thread. Thanks!

What in-game utility should Tradecraft(Apothecary) be given?
I can think of a few:
The ability to identify manufactured medicines/poisons - rather than simply the raw materials which would be covered by Nature Lore.
The ability make subtances that have in-game effects. Like sleeping drafts, contact poisons, laxitives, things that give a particular 'condition card'...
