Miniature storage

By Julia, in Mansions of Madness

Hi folks,

sorry if this was asked before. What are you guys using to store the minis from this game? I should start painting them around Christmas, and then I don't think it's that safe for them to be kept in the original box!

Thanks for the feedback

JULIA

for now I have them wrapped in soft paper in the original box but I am afraid this is not THE ideal storage solution :))

Yep, so am I. And for now, this could also work, but my fear is that with the coming Forbidden Alchemy box and the expansions to come (I think we'll see a good series of box expansions, this game is potentially expandable ad infinitum, and it's an absolute best seller, so it's logical thinking that FFG will keep on supporting the line) using the original boxes could be a catastrophe ::laughter::

I tried to search for some miniature boxes, but it's very difficult to find something decent

Personally, I will try to put all the figures in one box and the rest of the stuff in another, when the German version of Forbidden Alchemy comes out. But I don't have painted my minis anyway.

If you want something professional, you could try a storage box from here: www.feldherr.net/uk/

They are specifically made for miniatures, but I don't know, if you can get them in the US.

El lgore, you made my day! I'm not American, but Italian, and they do ship to Italy!

Products seem to be absolutely professional, and prices are not too high, I can afford them. I'll wait for Forbidden Alchemy to be out, and then get at least the one for the small miniatures (Mi-gos and Hounds of Tindalos are really detailed, and really fragile)

THANK YOU!

Prego, signora!

Glad to be of help! ^__^

Paint them and then dip them into MinWax Polyurethane solution. I use Walnut tone. After that, coat them with Varnish. After this treatment, the paint is very strong and they can be stored in your box loose without worrying about the paint flaking off or chipping.
