Help with Charact Concept "Unarmed Fighter"

By vogue69, in Black Crusade

Let your min max munchkin out the box :)

I am looking to create an unarmed Fighter. Either something lean and mean like a shaolin monk or a hulking brute like this:

Bane+from+Arkham+Asylum.jpg

How would you go after that? Talents? Path or not? Nurgle? Khorne Equip?

What I have so far is:

Best craftmanship synth muscles seem a must.

Spikes on Arm-armor, so your always count as wielding a knife

of course the unarmed talents

Streetfighter (interesting, if you have deadly strike and Streetfighter, sport a WS of maybe 60, a measily -1 crit gets upgraded to -9)

Some kind of Powerfield would be nice, Refractor or something.

Open for any kind of idea.

Skeletal Petrifaction is great, as it gives you Bulging Biceps, Iron Jaw and +2 to unarmed damage.

Are you opposed to being a Psyker? You can make a pretty badass psychic monk with Warptime and Ecstatic Oblivion.

I am not opposed to anything. That was my original concept. But I haven't found any time to check out all the psykic "spells". Is there something that wraps your hands in warp-stuff?

Not exactly, but there's Telekinetic Weapon, which creates a blade of kinetic energy with dam d10 +PR R, pen PR. A reasonable GM should have no problem with switching it so that it wraps a blunt force around your fists, changing damage type to I.

Ecstatic Oblivion is the real hit, as it gives you unnatural Str and Agi equal to your PR.

One completely legal but odd way is making a Sorcerer and then applying the force weapon quality to your unarmed attacks (they have the primitive trait, and can thus be force weaponed as per the quality description) Gm might argue against this, but cool crystal tattoos could sway 'em to see your way. Adds your Psy rating to damage and pen, and still count it as unarmed attacks. It also lets you test opposed WP as a free action psychic power if you deal damage to deal even more, armor and toughness ignoring, damage. Best of all, you can do this during chargen without even spending an aquisition!

Combine this with the talents you mentioned, and aim to pick up Warptime, Telekinetic Shield and Precog Dodge/Strike. Go for Swift/Lightning attack as soon as possible, possibly straight out of the gate. A possible addition is counter-attack and Step Aside, so you can put the hurt on anyone foolish enough to hit back. (Note that the rules on whether you can parry unarmed is unclear. The skill description mentions it, yet natural weapons can't. Being covered in psychic tattoos and having a cool concept might, once again, help sway the GM into allowing you to).

Ecstatic Oblivion is also great, although since it's a Slaanesh power it might be a bit hard to get your hands on it.

I'd also suggest thinking about getting the chem glands from Inquisitors handbook (if allowed) along with possibly the Lostok Augmentations from Into the Storm (as a purchased trait, requires some Gm leniency) and then juicing up with just about every combat drug on the books, if you want that hulking Bane feel ;)

Also, if you do get to play something like this, do share all your neat discoveries, since I'm aching to try an unarmed fighter too! :D
