Legacy Highlander

Hello,

Can someone gove me more information about this format. Is there banned and/or restricted list there. Some deck buildings rules etc.

Have you seen the Legacy FAQ on the Support page?

Yes but I didn't find there any information about banned cards etc.

Thanks, That's what I needed :)

This is actually a very fun format, and I always enjoy getting to play my Highlander deck. And people create some interesting decks as well.

I can't imagine how to even begin building one of these...

For me this is opportunity to return to the time when this game had a climate... The only problem with highlander is difficulty to create any strategy with only one card copy. So it's usually pack of best cards from each house and kuck in draw.

I still run my deck centered around WED Red Viper. Several cards can bring him back from the dead pile, a few cards bring him back from the discard pile. Hopefully I don't draw him in the first turn, so second or third turn I can get him out and rush to victory. Nearly every other character in the deck can be discarded, either at will or as a response that the deck functions almost as good as it did when Valyrian, Winter and Iron Throne were all legal. So it's not "luck of the draw." You just build around key cards, and often this can be a format of "who gets their combo out first."

It's also the first deck I ever made that I could beat Nate French with.

Can I start the game with 3 The Eyrie in Legacy highlander?

~Are you allowed to have 3 copies of the same card by name in your deck?

i think where there is conflict with rules and card card text wins this. The Eyrie text allows us to start the game with 2 duplicates which is not according to game rule. Do I miss something?

Legacy Highlander restricts you from only having one card of the same title in your deck. So you wouldn't even have three Eryies in your deck once it is built. This is a deck building restriction, so this applies before you even get to the game text on the Eyrie.

Legacy Highlander in 2 words: Greyjoy characterlite.
