Endurance Training clarification

By DaveNYC, in Blood Bowl: Team Manager

Just to clarify the Endurance Training card from the Spike Magazine card pile: It says coaches should draw two extra cards at the start of the round. I interpret this to mean that each coach draws a total of 8 and discards 2 to have a hand of 6. But I could see where one might read this to mean that each coach draws 8 and the round is played with 8 turns instead of 6.

Which is correct: the former or the latter?

We've played it that each coach has 8 cards that round. It doesn't say anything about discarding down to 6 cards.. and using the timing on pg.8 Maintenance Phase, you draw your 6 cards before you reveal the Spike! card for the week.

Ah, I see. But you still only play (i.e. commit) 6 players for that round?

You play them until you pass your turn, as normal. So, you can can play more than 6.

We had this in a game yesterday.

We did draw two additional cards into our hands and continued play for that match week as normal.

As The Finn mentioned, this would take place after every coach has replenished his hand up to 6 cards again. So a few more players might end up on the highlights during that week opposed to normal.

We played that way too. No one passed early, so everyone committed 8 players to the various matchup.
