Dr. Herbert Tibs.

Not that kind of doctor—think Norman Withers.

Julia: funny you should mention, I actually made a ROM hack of the NES Dr. Mario so that it became Dr. Mr. T . Wish I could find a screencap...

I fear Tibs will finish his PhD before the FAQs are published...

Something tells me the PhD committee would not agree with my decision to pursue Arkham Horror's FAQ release as a thesis. Though, being able to determine the probability that it would get released at a given time might place it within the realm of quantum mechanics.

What would Dr Tibbs' Special Ability would be?

Presumably, providing the answer to any rules question. Although I'm not entirely sure that would help the investigators.

Dr. Tibbs as an encounter...

You meet Dr. Tibbs working with his students. You're able to interrupt class long enough to ask him a series of questions about the happenings around Arkham. Roll dice equal equal to your current Lore score. For each success, gain one Clue Token

OR...

Dr. Tibbs as an Ally

Dr. Tibbs The Inquirer

+1 Will / + 1 Lore

If you do not roll any successes, he tells you the statistical probability that your party will defeat the Ancient One. Lose two sanity.

(I suppose the FAQ is probably a Tome in his starting equipment...maybe an Exhibit Item)

Hahaha... I appreciate the effort.

If I were an investigator, I'd start with The King in Yellow .

And, in real life, I'm not sure I'm as confident as I am here. So no Will bonus...

This is fun. I'll start a thread on it.
